2 Wildcards Invade ‘Masked Singer 6’ Group A

Last night, The Masked Singer returned for its sixth season! We were introduced to five new colorful characters – Skunk, Octopus, Mother Nature, the Bull, and Pufferfish. However, after they performed both Octopus and Mother Nature were voted to be unmasked!  First, NBA superstar Dwight Howard was revealed to be the Octopus.  Second, it was Mother Nature’s turn but the show ended before we learned of her true identity.

Tonight, we found out who was Mother Nature! Also, two Wild Card performers invaded the Masked Singer stage. Who were these new characters? Who was Mother Nature? Did any of the panelists (Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke, and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg) correctly deduced the eliminated stars’ identity? Read on to find out!

Mother Nature was Vivica A. Fox! I was so sad to see her leave! As the actress and radio personality left the stage, it was “Back to School” night! The new talk show host introduced a new twist to this season – the Take It Off Buzzer. If any of the Masked Singer panelists were 100-percent certain that they knew who the performer was, they could hit the Take It Off buzzer, and if they are correct, the performer must immediately unmask. The panelist would be awarded two extra points in the Golden Ear Trophy chase. 

Once Ken Jeong took the Take It Off Buzzer for a test drive, it was time to get down to business! The first Wild Card of the season made their presence known…the Hamster danced his way to the Masked Singer stage. In his pre-performance package, he revealed that he was a multi-tasker and a poster of Alcatraz Island. He sang “Pretty Woman,” and I loved his voice. After the panelists wrote their first impression guesses, the Men in Black brought out the lockers – which contained a baseball bat. He also revealed that he is taller than Danny DeVito. Ken Jeong guessed Bill Murray or Brendan Fraser. Jenny thought Albert Brooks, Tim Allen, or Kelsey Grammer. Meanwhile, Nicole guessed Jack Black!  

The Skunk returned to The Masked Singer stage. She liked school and had several books such as “Expected the Unexpected” and “U.S. Government.” The Skunk sang “It’s A Man’s World,” and she delivered a superb performance once again. I was torn between Darlene Love and Yolanda Adams. The performance had Robin Thicke on the panelists’ desk for the first time in show history. The Skunk’s locker contained pom-poms and a French final. Ken immediately gravitated towards Ms. Lauryn Hill. Robin guessed Yolanda Adams. Meanwhile, Nicole thought of Janelle Monae. 

Pufferfish came from a very religious background. She kept a diary and loved turning heads. She sang Dua Lipa and DaBaby’s version of “Levitating.” In all honesty, I do not know who’s behind this mask! Her locker contained “Spelling Bee Champion” and letters. Ken thought it was rapper M.I.A.. Jenny thought it was Nelly Furtado, and Robin added Vanessa Hudgens.

The Bull returned to the Masked Singer stage. He revealed that his garage was the place where he created his world. Tonight, he sang Rascal Flatts’ “What Hurts the Most.” He gave me chills with his outstanding vocal performance. Nicole called the performance – “heartfelt” and praised his range. The Bull’s locker contained cheerleaders and a giant rose. Ken thought of Darren Criss, while Robin thought of Brandon Flowers and Rufus Wainwright. Meanwhile, Jenny guessed Zac Efron! I still believe that the Bull is Jason Derulo. 

The Baby walked onto the Masked Singer stage as the last Wild Card of the night. In the pre-performance package, he revealed that he worked with Arnold Schwarzenegger. He sang Barry White’s “My First, My Last, My Everything,” and I immediately gravitated towards Joe Pesci. Baby’s high school locker contained a report card that he failed Driver’s Education. Jenny thought Baby was Vin Diesel and Robin guessed it was Chuck Norris. 

After the vote, Pufferfish was the third singer that was sent packing! The whole audience was shocked by Pufferfish’s elimination. Robin’s first impression guess was Jessica Alba, while Jenny changed her guess to Nelly Furtado. Ken changed his guess to Zoe Saldana, while Nicole thankfully changed her guess from Paula Abdul to Monica.

I was right…Pufferfish was Toni Braxton!!!
