We are days into the New Year and there are a couple of events that you should keep an eye out for during 2012.
10. Avengers vs. the X-Men
Marvel Comics will release a huge story arc this Spring that will pit two of Marvel Comics’ biggest teams against each other. The 12-issue mini-series will feature stories written by Marvel’s top writers: Brian Michael Bendis, Matt Fraction, Jason Aaron, Ed Brubaker and Jonathan Hickman with art from John Romita, Jr., Oliver Coipel and Andy Kubert. According to earlier reports, the plot will feature the return of the Phoenix Force and could possibly lead to a return of founding X-Men member Jean Grey, who died in 2004’s New X-Men. But is she alive or is it someone new? Readers will have to wait until April 2012 to find out!
9. The Return of the Voice
Think American Idol and X Factor are the only singing competitions on T.V.? Think again! NBC’s The Voice returns for a second season. The show follows superstar judges Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine as they try to find the next best “Voice” in the record industry. Blind auditions will begin right after the Super Bowl on February 5.
8. The 2012 Grammy Awards
This year’s Grammy Awards will feature fierce competition as Kanye West received seven Grammy nominations while Adele, Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars each clocked in with six. Besides the intense races for the coveted awards, the ceremony will also mark the celebration of the Beach Boys’ 50th Anniversary, as the band will reunite and perform at the ceremony.
7. The New LIVE with Kelly Co-Host will debut!
Sometime this year, we will learn who will be sitting alongside Kelly Ripa on LIVE. Since Regis Philbin’s departure from the show, viewers have seen dozens of guest hosts including morning show veteran Bryant Gumbel, actor Neil Patrick Harris and singers Josh Groban and Michael Buble. But will one of them or another candidate take over Regis’ chair and become Kelly’s Host Chat partner-in-crime?
6. Grant Morrison finishes his Batman storyline.
For six years, legendary comic scribe Grant Morrison has breathed new life into DC Comics’ Caped Crusader. From introducing Batman’s son: Daiman, who evolved from a whiny brat to the latest Boy Wonder, to rejuvenating his Rogues Gallery by adding the devious Dr. Simon Hurt into the iconic group and made the Joker and the al Ghul family, more terrifying than they have been in years, Morrison’s run on Batman has been one of the best runs-the franchise has had since the classic 1970s and 1980s stories which were written by famed writers Denny O’ Neil, Jim Starlin, Marv Wolfman and Frank Miller. But will Morrison do the unthinkable and kill off a classic character before his run is over? Stay tuned “Bat-Fans!”
The Top Five will be revealed within the next 48 hours.
Wow, what a quality it is! Because mostly YouTube movies have no good feature, but this is really a pleasant quality video.
