Happy Labor Day, Everyone!
Two days from now, I will be turn 26!
As I turned a quarter-of-a-century old, I reflected on the countless incredible things I did during my 25th year on this planet.
CrossFit: I celebrated my first year in CrossFit by competing in two CrossFit competitions. While I did not place at the top of both events, I made some lifelong friends and even developed a passion for judging CrossFit competitions. I want to personally thank my coaches: Brady Mora, TJ Kiblen and Anthony Koehler, for pushing me to do my best (despite my numerous rough moments) and for the CrossFit 913 community for supporting me every step of the way.
Concert overload: I have seen so many artists perform live throughout my 25th birth year! Some of the artists that I saw (Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Katy Perry and One Republic particularly), I waited years to see and they did not disappoint. Others like Florida Georgia Line, A Great Big World, Rihanna, Robin Thicke, The Script and Kasey Musgraves exceeded my expectations exponentially.
Israel-Second Time’s the Charm: When Birthright Israel opened up their program to BBYO alumni, who previously went to Israel; I jumped at the chance to return to the Holy Land. Throughout the two weeks that I was there with Yael Adventures, I met some of the most unbelievable people I have ever met, swam in the Mediterranean Sea (twice), rode a camel and conquered my fear of heights twice (Masada and the cliff). If you have the opportunity to go to Israel, do it! You will never regret your decision!
Incredible interviews: I am very fortunate to have interviewed a diverse group of people! Ranging from Celebrity chef Spike Mendelsohn and media mogul Kent Speakman to Top 40 favorite American Authors and music legend Dolly Parton, each of my interview subjects successfully delivered and presented you a different take on the pop culture world!
Finally, I want to say a massive “Thank You” to my friends, family, mentors and you…. my loyal readers! Without you, Jake’s Take would not be the blog that is today! I hope that you continue to enjoy reading this blog and please feel free to connect with me on Facebook, Google +, Instagram or Twitter.
Sincerely,
