America’s Got Talent: Extreme (AGT: Extreme) continues! It’s round three of auditions! More daredevil performers. Which acts blew judges Simon Cowell, Nikki Bella, and Travis Pastrana away? Who was one step closer to winning the $500,000 grand prize? Read on to find out!
After Terry introduced the judges, it was time to get down to business. Up first, Dr. Danger and Mademoiselle Divine. The duo performed “Firestorm: A Love Story.” However, this romance involved a lot more danger than any film. The couple revealed to the judges have been seeing each other for six weeks. Before the show went to its first commercial break, the pyro villains kidnapped the duo and put Dr. Danger in an explosive castle that featured fiery flames. Thankfully, he survived it and went to rescue Mary. Unfortunately, the love story did not entertain me. However, Nikki was impressed by their performance, and Travis loved the pyrotechnics but did not understand the story. Simon called them “fearless” and wanted to see where they would go next. While Travis voted “No,” Simon and Nikki gave them the two “Yeses” they needed to advance.
As the AGT: Extreme judges spoke about their love for fast cars, 17-year-old Chloe Chambers walked to the Atlanta Motor Speedway with her father. The Chambers duo revealed to producers that while it was challenging being a female in the motocross genre, they believed that what Chloe was doing was game-changing. She admitted to the judges that she has the Guinness World Record Holder for Production car slalom and challenged Simon to join her in attempting the stunt. Simon went first, and Terry showed Chloe his time. Next, Chloe delivered a superb performance on the track. Terry revealed that Chloe beat Simon in the race. Nikki loved Chloe’s confidence, praised her for breaking barriers, and gave her a big “Yes.” Travis added that she had a bright future but could not give her a “Yes.” However, Simon gave her second “Yes” after some crowd persuasion.
Rain could not stop the AGT: Extreme auditions process. Sarasota, Florida native Cyndel Flores introduced the Aerial Swivel to the audience. Cyndel revealed that she is a second-generation performer as her mother taught her to be a daredevil. When she turned 17-years-old, Cyndel began to train on the Swivel pole. She climbed 60 feet into the air, and the on-air team revealed no safety nets. With her mother and the crowd watching, Cyndel began her act. First of all, as someone who suffers from acrophobia, I was in awe as she performed on that massive pole. My jaw dropped when she began the pendulum portion of her act, my jaw dropped. Nikki called her “fearless,” and just as Simon was about to comment, Travis pressed the Golden Buzzer!
As Cyndel Flores headed to the AGT: Extreme finale, 32-year-old Timothy Rice quit his job as a videographer to walk across America. Tonight, the YouTuber wanted to bring extreme eating into the competition. However, the eater grossed me out by his stunts, and Timothy was buzzed out of the show.
Hoping to get a spot in the AGT: Extreme finale is 29-year-old limbo dancer Shemika Campbell. Shemika’s family has a vast history centered around limbo, as her mother and grandmother were limbo dancers. She previously auditioned for AGT in 2017 but was eliminated during the Judge Cuts round. Shemika’s family watched alongside the judges and Simon stated: “We meet again” to her. Shemika revealed that she wanted to take her family on a world tour to showcase Caribbean culture.
Shemika started by limbo dancing under the Judges’ Desk. Then, she successfully performed a limbo dance under two vehicles and earned another world record. Finally, the show’s fire unit added flames to her wooden limbo bars, and she passed with flying colors! Simon loved her comeback, while Nikki was a fan of her determination. The audience convinced Travis to join Simon and Nikki in voting Shemika into the superfan vote.
Terry and the judges decided to perform another extreme challenge to retrieve a medicine ball the fastest. They raced in JCB bulldozers, and it was funny to watch the quartet perform the stunt. Travis won the competition at the end of the segment while both Terry and Simon failed the challenge.
Bruce Cook traveled from British Columbia to audition for AGT: Extreme. He revealed his passion for dirt bikes and told that a bike trick paralyzed him. After breaking his back, Bruce wanted to ride once again and adapted his bike. Travis admitted that he could judge but could not vote due to his connection to Bruce. As Bruce prepared for his act, Travis forewarned Simon and Nikki that Bruce doesn’t know the word: “can’t.” My jaw dropped as Bruce perfectly executed that stunt. Simon called it “incredible” and added that his determination was inspiring. Both Simon and Nikki voted Bruce into the superfan round.
America’s Little Sisters were the last act to face the judges and wanted to impress their biggest idol: Nikki Bella. They revealed that they were Jell-O Wrestlers. However, the women did not impress the audience. In fact, they were eliminated from the competition by three buzzers. To demonstrate what real wrestling was the WWE superstar stepped away from the Judges’ Desk and took one of the group’s wrestlers and body slammed her into the Jell-O pool. After Travis declared her winner, Nikki pulled her fellow judge into the pool.
Next week, the auditions conclude and the superfans vote for the $500,000 winner!
