Eight weeks ago, America’s Got Talent (AGT) began a new chapter in its storied competition: AGT: Fantasy League. The judges (Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and returning judge Mel B) had the opportunity to build their dream teams using acts from across the Got Talent universe.
After stunning performances, surprising Golden Buzzer steals, and shocking eliminations (Chapel Hart, The Clairvoyants, Hans, Kseniya Simonova, Loren Allred, and Travis Japan were robbed!), 10 acts remain! Tonight, the final acts performed one final time for the audience’s votes and the title! Which acts rose to the occasion? Read on to find out!
The Pack Drumline kicked off the night, and while they have improved since their last audition, I was not thrilled with them stealing Recycled Percussion’s bits during the semifinals. Because of that, they lost their appeal, and I would have pulled a page out of Piers Morgan’s playbook and buzzed them. F
Original Team Heidi member Sofie Dossi immediately raised the bar with her aerial contortion, which included a spinning wheel that brilliantly showcased Sofie’s athleticism. It was a stunning and one of her best performances on any AGT. A+
Throughout the competition, Kodi Lee sang original songs. Tonight, the Season 14 champion performed Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” I loved Kodi’s rearrangement of the tune and how he made it a modern pop song. A
Heidi stole V. Unbeatable from Howie during the AGT: Fantasy League semifinals. The three-time Golden Buzzer act inched closer to winning its second title with a multi-tiered performance that featured its signature fiery choreography and fancy footwork! This routine can help them win that second title! A++
Ever since I saw the Ramadhani Brothers audition for Australia’s Got Talent, I have become a massive fan, and they delivered epic performances during AGT: Season 18. I was so happy when they auditioned for AGT: Fantasy League and was shocked when Howie stole them. Their final routine left me at the edge of my seat, making my jaw drop multiple times. I crown them – the Kings of the Danger Acts. A+++
Musa Motha made history on AGT: Fantasy League. He received his second Golden Buzzer and reached his second Got Talent final. The Team Simon dancer reprised his BGT audition for his chance at the $250,000. Musa delivered an inspirational routine that showcased his fire and heart. He had a magical moment. A
In the semifinals, Mel B stole AGT: All-Stars champion Aidan Bryant from Team Heidi. The self-taught aerialist brought back his aerial hoop to win his second title. As Queen’s “The Show Must Go On” played, he brilliantly delivered dazzling choreography. I severely underestimated Aidan this season, and his high-flying routine has the potential to earn him a second title. A
Shadow Ace invited Heidi Klum to join him for his final performance. I think that Shadow Ace has been this season’s dark horse. For the final time this season, he made me laugh so hard with his performance with Heidi, and I loved that he incorporated Heidi’s song into the routine. A-
Mel B stole Billy and Emily England from Simon Cowell’s dream team. While they incorporated fire and aerial elements into the act, I was bored and would have buzzed them. F
Sainted Trap Choir closed out the AGT: Fantasy League finals! The Team Simon choir performed Madonna’s “Like a Prayer,” they gave me chills from the first note. “Like a Prayer” is one of my all-time favorites, and they elevated the tune that would make the Queen of Pop so proud! A+
Next week, the AGT: Fantasy League Winner will be crowned!
