Last night, America’s Got Talent (AGT): Season 14’s Top 10 performed one final time on the Dolby Theatre stage. But before Terry Crews got to the crucial results, several major superstars joined the AGT finalists on stage for once-in-a-lifetime performances.
Which celebrity superstars performed with the Season 14 finalists? Who was the surprise guest? But more importantly, who joined Terry Fator, Mat Franco, Grace VandeWaal, Darci Lynne Farmer, and Shin Lim in the AGT winners circle?
After lifting up the AGT results envelope , Terry introduced guest artist Kygo as he teamed up with NDLOUV Youth Choir for his remix of Whitney Houston’s “Higher Love.” Next up, Macklemore joined Detroit Youth Choir to collaborate on “Can’t Hold Us.” It was amazing seeing the Seattle-based rapper join forces with Detroit’s finest.
Next, it was a behind the scenes look at last night’s superb finale and the final Dunkin’ Lounge visit of the season. Meanwhile, AGT: Season 13 finalist Brian King Joseph teamed up with Tyler Butler-Figueroa and Light Balance Kids for an epic illuminating light show. However, Simon received a blast from his Idol and X Factor past as it was revealed that Light Balance Kids danced with Paula Abdul!
Once he finished tickling his piano’s ivories, pianist Lang Lang joined Emanne Beasha for a duet of “Time to Say Goodbye.” (Umm, where’s Barbara Padilla?) In a pre-taped segment, comedian Ryan Niemiller revealed that he used stand-up comedy to prepare for wrestling. He teamed with Chris Jericho for a hysterical segment.
After the AGT production team aired a tribute to Terry, Benicio Bryant teamed up with Latin trap and reggaeton singer Ozuna for two songs including “Taki Taki.” Music legend Cher sat down with Simon Cowell on an odd segment on various topics ranging from beard lengths to dark chocolate. Once the segment ended, Julianne Hough performed her new single: “Transform.” She teamed up with V.Unbeatable for an epic dance number.
Voices of Service collaborated with Billy Ray Cyrus on a haunting cover of “Some Gave All,” which was a patriotic way to end this season. It was a beautiful tribute to the U.S. Armed Forces. As the quintet left the stage, Simon Cowell also revealed his American dream and shared a beautiful tribute regarding the Top 10. Next, Cher paid tribute to ABBA with a rousing cover of “Waterloo.”
Before we got to the results, X Factor UK winner Leona Lewis joined forces with Kodi Lee to perform the latter’s Golden Buzzer song: “You Are the Reason.” It was a beautiful collaboration from start to finish. As the duo exited the stage, Terry talked with the finalists on their AGT respective journeys.
Now, it was time to get down to business! Terry revealed the Season 14 Top Five. Voices of Service, Ryan Niemiller, V.Unbeatable, Kodi Lee, and Detroit Youth Choir were in the final five!
With the top five in place, it was time to reveal the official rankings:
Fifth place: Voices of Service
Fourth place: V.Unbeatable (WOW!!!)
Third place: Ryan Niemiller (Double WOW!!!)
This left Kodi Lee and Detroit Youth Choir to battle it out for the $1,000,000 prize. The winner of AGT: Season 14 was…KODI LEE.
Congratulations, Kodi Lee!
