Last night’s America’s Got Talent (AGT): Season 17 Qualifiers felt like the finale. Almost every single act delivered strong performances that were worthy of joining the cast of the talent competition’s Las Vegas show. We learned which two acts were awarded a place in the Season 17 final tonight. Plus, all season long, fans had the chance to convince the judges (Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum) on which previously eliminated acts deserved to be in the Season 17 finale. Tonight, the AGT judges revealed their Wild Card candidates, and America had the opportunity to use the Instant Save for the second time this season.

After a behind-the-scenes look at the final AGT qualifier round and a Sonic plug, it was time to reveal this week’s Top Five. Kristen Cruz (WRONG CHOICE, AMERICA! TRAVIS JAPAN WAS ROBBED), Kirsty Sellars (WHAT THE HECK WERE THINKING, AMERICA?), Urbancrew, Mayyas, and Mervant Vera were this week’s Top Five!
However, the Top Five had no time to celebrate as Terry revealed that Mayyas, Mervant Vera, and Kirsty Sellars (URBANCREW WAS ROBBED!) made it to the Top Three. While Season 15 champion Brandon Leake picked up Howie Mandel in a KIA, Heidi and Sofia held up the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams jerseys. The Top Three became the Top Two as the Mayyas were triumphantly voted into the finale, but Kristy robbed another deserving performer Mervant Vera a spot in the Season 17 finale.
Thankfully, the judges have decided to bring the Wildcard back into play. Simon selected The Players Choir, and Sofia picked Celia Munoz. Meanwhile, Heidi picked her Golden Buzzer, Lily Meola, and Howie selected fan-favorite comedian Don McMillan. As AGT fans voted, we were treated by a special performance of “Roar” from the cast of & Juliet, a musical that brings Max Martin-penned tracks into the Shakespeare universe.
As the cast of & Juliet left the stage, Terry revealed the final result of the evening. Joining the finale is Celia Munoz!!!!
