Kansas City’s Most Listened to Radio Station has announced its initial 2013 Red, White and Boom line-up!

Carly Rae Jepsen: The Canadian singer-songwriter is this year’s headliner. Thanks to her monster hits: “Call Me Maybe,” “This Kiss” and “Good Time,” Jepsen has picked up an American Music Award and Billboard Music Award, plus a massive social media following which includes six million Twitter followers, five million Facebook fans and over 500,000,000 views on YouTube.
Emblem 3: Simon Cowell’s latest boy band will invade the Red, White and Boom stage. The Californian pop-reggae trio recently released their first post-X Factor single: “Chloe (You’re The One I Want),” which has accumulated tons of airplay across the country. But, the trio is not the only heartthrobs that will be making an appearance.
Hot Chelle Rae: Nashville rockers and the 2011 American Music Awards Sprint New Artist of the Year Hot Chelle Rae will return to Kansas City to promote their upcoming third studio album plus play fan-favorite songs including: “I Like It Like That” and “Tonight, Tonight”
MKTO: Another rising group that will be making their Red, White and Boom debut is MKTO. This California pop/hip-hop duo consists of Nickelodeon alums Malcolm Kelley and Tony Oller, who recently signed with Columbia Records. MKTO’s debut single “Thank You” has accumulated 2,900,000 views on YouTube.

Stefano: Idol alum and recording artist Stefano will round out the list of heartthrobs heating up the Red, White and Boom stage this year. He has found success with his two hit singles: “I’m on a Roll” and “Yes to Love” and might perform some new material from his debut album.
Ariana Grande: Rising star Ariana Grande finishes off the initial Red, White and Boom line-up. The beloved actress of two Nickelodeon series including Victorious and Sam & Cat will be making her Red, White and Boom debut on July 5. Ariana’s first single, “The Way,” has received over 15,000,000 views on YouTube and debuted at number 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
Final thoughts: All six of these artists have a big presence on Top 40 radio stations nationwide. Mix 93.3 has always delivered with their Red, White and Boom line-ups and I strongly believe that fans will be flocking to Starlight in July.
