Attention Music Lovers!

This autumn will mark major milestones in the recording industry!

Several music icons will be releasing innovative albums while some artists who have been missing in action from the industry will be back with new material.

In part one of this three-part series, I will be looking at the upcoming albums that will be released during this month.

Tempest by Bob Dylan (September 11)

Folk rock icon Bob Dylan has recorded his 35th studio album!   This 10-track album has already received strong praise from media outlets including Entertainment Weekly, Newsday and Rolling Stone, where it received these respective magazine’s top rankings.    iTunes has even let its customers stream the album until its release.

 Ludaversal by Ludacris (September 11)

Rapper and actor Ludacris will be releasing his eighth studio album.   The rapper originally announced on Twitter that he would be working with hip-hop superstar producing team The Neptunes on this project.    Earlier this year, he released the album’s first single: “Jingalin’” and his collaboration with Kelly Rowland: “Representing” debuted last month.

The Spirit Indestructible by Nelly Furtado (September 11)

For the first time in six years, Grammy winner Nelly Furtado is releasing a new English album.   Joining her on this venture will be rapper Nas, Portuguese singer Sara Tavares and legendary producer Darkchild, who has produced a majority of the album.     The title track was released on July and its music video was shot in Vancouver.

Michael Jackson’s “Bad” will celebrate its 25th anniversary by releasing new never been heard before tracks and will release a concert from one of the Bad World Tour’s epic concerts in Wembley Stadium. (Cover art property of Sony/Epic Records).

It has been 25 years since Michael Jackson released his follow-up record to Thriller.  While it did not receive as much Grammys as it should, the album broke records around the world and it is one of the best pop albums that came out in the 1980s.    To celebrate its silver anniversary, there will a boxed set that will feature the album’s original tracks, unreleased material and a DVD featuring the July 16, 1988 concert in Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Kiss by Carly Rae Jepsen (September 18)

Her single: “Call Me Maybe” has taken the whole world by storm.  Now, Carly Rae Jepsen will be releasing her second album Kiss.  This album will feature appearances by Justin Bieber and Owl City.  In addition, Carly Rae has written a majority of the tracks and hit makers Max Martin and Dr. Luke will be producing this album.

Battle Born by the Killers (September 18)

Attention Killers Fans!  The Las Vegas-based band will release their fourth studio album.  Their first album since their 2010 hiatus.    Earlier this year, the group released the album’s first single: “Runaways” and from that song, all I have to say is that the group will impress their fanbase with this new album.

The Truth About Love P!nk album

P!nk will be releasing her first studio album since her epic 2008 album: “Funhouse.” The album is expected to have collaborations with Eminem and Lily Allen on it. (Album cover property of RCA Records).

After taking a couple of years off to start a family with husband Carey Hart, pop rocker P!nk is bad on the music scene with her sixth studio album: The Truth About Love.   Like her 2008 album Funhouse, P!nk co-wrote all of the songs on this album with longtime collaborators including Butch Walker, Billy Mann and Max Martin.   Eminem, Lily Allen and Nate Ruess will make appearances on the album.

¡Uno!  by Green Day (Sept. 25)

Punk rockers Green Day will be releasing their first in a new album trilogy that will show off different sides of the group.  The band has already released three singles: “Oh Love,” “Kill the DJ” and “Let Yourself Go” to much success.

Push and Shove by No Doubt (September 25)

It has been 11 years since No Doubt has released a studio album.   Now, Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Adrian Young and Tom Dumont are ready to take the world by storm with their sixth studio album.    “Settle Down” has been a great starting single and fans are already to download Push and Shove.
