It’s official! Rosie O’Donnell will be returning to The View this fall!
Multiple media outlets including Entertainment Weekly, Parade & ABC News reported that Ms. O’Donnell would join Whoopi Goldberg at the desk.
I, for one, am very excited to have the six-time Emmy-winning talk show host back on the show!
No matter if you liked or were appalled by her statements, Rosie rejuvenated the aging ABC talk show when she was a panelist on the 10th anniversary season! During a taping of the May 3, 2007 show, Joy Behar stated that because they share alienated opinions, the show never won an Emmy.
“I think you have never on an Emmy before is because you never talked about real issues like you have this year!” O’Donnell countered. “You never had political arguments while I guest hosted.”
Despite Ms. O’Donnell’s departure after her fiery argument with former co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, The View continued with this formula that Rosie used and two years later won the Outstanding Talk Show Host Emmy.
I look forward to seeing Ms. O’Donnell go after bullies and tackle controversial issues and I wish nothing but the best for her, Whoopi and the rest of The View family.
