It is a pleasure to welcome A Short Walk to Pluto to The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast.
The band consists of lead vocalist Emma Armstrong, lead guitarist Max Kaiser, bassist and backing vocalist Danny Moriana, and drummer and percussionist Jake Biggs. It was formed in 2018 and has developed a massive social media presence through TikTok and Instagram, where it regularly debuts original music and classic songs.
Through that social media presence, the band was discovered and endorsed by media icon Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show. Though much of their success is due to their social media engagement, A Short Walk to Pluto’s genre-defying original music and energetic live performances, including at the 2022 Ottawa Bluesfest, have generated a loyal, consistent, and far-reaching following.
The band finished their first United States and Canadian tour earlier this year, selling over 150 tickets per show. The group has over 900K social media followers and has released eight pieces of original music. The young and professional-sounding foursome is prepared to deliver a show that concertgoers will remember forever.
On this episode of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, A Short Walk to Pluto shared the group’s origin story, spoke about receiving the King of All Media’s stamp of approval, and the stories behind some of their most Spotify streamed songs.
