It is a pleasure to welcome singer-songwriter Annabel Gutherz to The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast.
Hailing from Montreal, Canada, Annabel grew up in a family that encouraged exploring the arts; she always has been in tune with her creative spirit. As a teen, she composed original music and lyrics as a vehicle to work through adolescence’s growing pains. Recently, Anabel graduated from the Berklee College of Music Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Music Studies and is finishing her Masters of Arts degree in songwriting at Berklee.
Her debut album, Loose Ends, is a stylistically eclectic yet authentic record that cathartically encapsulates life’s unfinished moments. The album was recorded by longtime Celine Dion band member Dominque Messier. Several media outlets such as CelebMix, PopWrapped, and Stage Right Secrets have praised her music.
In this edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Annabel Gutherz talked about the stories behind her songs: “Skylark,” “Breathing Under Water,” and “Retrograde.” We also spoke about our appreciation for musical theater and The Lion King, plus our wishes for the upcoming two-part film adaptation of Wicked.
