It is a pleasure to welcome singer-songwriter ChrisLee to The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast.
The Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and record producer began his career in the recording industry at New York City’s Platinum Sound by assisting headlining artists Busta Rhymes, Miguel, and Shakira. ChrisLee takes influence from artists such as John Legend and Justin Bieber to Usher and Kendrick Lamar.
He also founded earth + water records – the first record label to focus on the well-being and multidimensionality of their artists. Recording industry collaborators have come to know ChrisLee as a detail-oriented, reflective, and healing light in the studio – always digging in for more depth to get the best and most connected expression as possible.
Millions were introduced to the Berklee College of Music graduate when he appeared on the sophomore season of NBC’s songwriting competition Songland. He worked with renowned singer-songwriter Ester Dean on his original song “Love Struck,” which was selected by Boyz II Men to record. He also co-wrote 220 Kid and Gracey’s breakout hit song: “Don’t Need Love,” which hit the Top 10 on UK music charts and was nominated for the Best Single category at the 2021 Brit Awards.
In this edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, ChrisLee spoke about his Songland experience and shared the stories behind his most streamed songs on Spotify.
