It is a pleasure to welcome drummer and musician DRMAGDN to The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast.
DRMAGDN is the brainchild of New York City-based Charlie Zeleny. This virtuoso drummer and DJ toured in 24 countries and 43 states in the United States of America. He also played on over 175 records. Using his drum pad controllers, triggers, and a laptop, he has delivered energetic performances at Lollapalooza, South by Southwest, the Warped Tour, and the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
DRMAGDN also appeared on multiple television series, including CBS This Morning, Today, Total Request Live, and The View. Several media outlets also highlighted his work, including AXS, American Songwriter, Billboard, Modern Drummer, and New York Magazine. He also received several accolades, including Blender Magazine’s “One of the Best Drummers of All-Time,” and Sick Drummer Magazine inducted him into their Hall of Fame.
He collaborated with many recording artists, including Emmy and Tony-winning actress Kristin Chenoweth, Gala, Outsight, and Thalia. He also recorded music with the cast of Rock of Ages and appeared on several songs for Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Records, and the Universal Music Group.
In this episode of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, DRMAGDN spoke about performing on the legendary stages of Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center.
