Paul spent over two decades creating content for CBS Television. He started as an On-Air Promotion writer and producer in the marketing department. Paul R. Friedman worked for both CBS’s news and entertainment divisions In New York City and Los Angeles. Most recently, Paul served as the Vice President and Creative Director of CBS Marketing.
He was responsible for the award-winning launch and continued marketing stewardship of the three most successful ‘reality show’ franchises in television history: Survivor, The Amazing Race, and Big Brother. Paul also headed up the On-Air campaigns for several CBS specials, including The Grammys, the Academy of Country Music Awards, and the Kennedy Center Honors. He was also the Executive Producer of the CBS Fall Preview Show from 2013 to 2017. He also wrote extensively for the television medium, including the multi-part ‘noir’ drama Angel Town and the soon-to-be-released book, Hollywood’s Un-Luckiest Superstars.
