It is a pleasure to welcome recording artist Philmon Lee to The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast.

Surrounded by musicians in his family, Philmon picked up multiple instruments as a kid in the small town of LaGrange, Georgia, developing his skills on piano, guitar, and drums. He cut his teeth on tour with his dad and cultivated his vocals through constant practice. Under the influence of everyone from Elvis Presley, Elton John, and Steven Tyler to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Post Malone, Philmon Lee simultaneously pushed himself as a songwriter. He grinded locally with countless gigs before signing to Epic Records in 2020.

Following his buzzing debut single, “Memories,” Philmon gained traction with “No Saving Me,” his collaboration with Lindsey Stirling, paving the way for his acclaimed 2021 706 EP.  Recently, he released “Baby Don’t Cry,” a collaboration with Young Thug.

In this edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Philmon Lee spoke about his major musical influences and spoke about the stories behind several of his hits including “Memories,” “No Saving Me,” and “Baby Don’t Cry.”
