It is a privilege to welcome vocal group Resound to The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast.
Resound is a vocal trio made up of Jessica Fox, Joseph Clarke, and Mariah Hargrove. The trio knew each other for years before having an informal rehearsal and creating their first “arrangement.” Little did they know that this would lead Joseph, Jessica, and Mariah to a career of creating and arranging music together.
Their music journey led to them singing on national television shows such as Good Morning America and more opportunities to sing with their favorite artists. Their debut album, First Christmas, peaked at number 16 on the Billboard Gospel Music charts. Earlier this summer, the trio auditioned for America’s Got Talent: Season 15. Their great cover of “What the World Needs Now” received high praise from Simon Cowell, and the trio received “four Yeses” from the Got Talent creator and his fellow judges Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara.
Eventually, Resound advanced pass the Judges’ Cuts and to the Universal Studio Hollywood live shows. Joseph, Jessica, and Mariah delivered a powerful take on A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera’s “Fall on Me.” Sadly, the trio was eliminated at the end of the fourth round of Season 15 quarterfinals.
In this edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Resound shared their origin story, talked about their America’s Got Talent (AGT) experience, and revealed their dream collaborators.
