It is a privilege to welcome Reality TV star and fitness entrepreneur Joss Mooney to The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast.
International television audiences first met Joss when he first appeared on the inaugural season of Ex on the Beach UK. He also returned four seasons later on Ex on the Beach UK: Series Five for an episode. However, Joss Mooney significantly impacted MTV’s long-running Reality TV competition show: The Challenge.
Joss first joined The Challenge during its Vendettas season alongside his longtime friend, Rogan O’Connor, and ex Kayleigh Morris. Despite winning the opening challenge: “Get Off the Rock,” Joss found himself in the Ring during the seventh and eighth episodes. He faced off against show legend and Challenge Mania co-host Derrick Kosinski in the “Crazy 8” elimination round. While Joss fought with all of his might, Derrick won the round, and the former was eliminated.
He did return for The Challenge: Final Reckoning. Joss Mooney was partnered with Sylvia Elsrode. The duo was a force to be reckoned with as they faced the Armageddon elimination rounds twice and sent home both Derrick Henry and Tori Deal and Challenge powerhouses Johnny Bananas and Tony Raines. They also won two daily challenges, and eventually, Joss and Sylvia placed second in the Final Reckoning final.
After taking a season off, Joss Mooney returned to The Challenge for War of the Worlds 2. He was a part of Team UK with Rogan, Kayleigh, series regular Kyle Christie, Stephen Bear, Georgia Harrison, and Theo Campbell. However, Joss earned fans’ wrath as he took out Bear in the Proving Ground game: “Whalloped” and was responsible for sending fan-favorites Georgia and Theo home. Sadly, Joss was eliminated in the “Puzzling Swim” challenge in episode 13.
Outside of Reality TV, Joss is a top fitness trainer as he helped clients get in shape. Through Joss Mooney Transformations, clients have transformed their lives. That is because Joss provides them with personalized plans, diet plans, and training plans. He has also published two e-books, including My Body Project E-Book and the Just Move E-Book. He also co-founded the unisex LAB3L lifestyle brand.
In this edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Joss opened up about his time on The Challenge, how he got into fitness and shared LAB3L’s origin story with our audience.
