Almost two months ago, I visited the Holy Land for the second time in my life with Yael Adventures: Birthright Israel!
I traveled across Israel with an incredible group of people and made lasting memories that I will always treasure.
However, my heart broke when countless media outlets reported the kidnappings and deaths of three Israeli teens (Naftali Frankel, Eyal Yifrach and Gilad Shaar). The chain of events began one of the most brutal attacks in the modern-day Middle East as a furious nation attacked the villains behind this awful hate crime: Palestine and the evil organization known as Hamas.
Just like any wicked villain, they responded with violence and continued to do so as they released “fierce missile strikes” on the Southern parts of Israel.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Israel Defense Force, who are doing astonishing job defending the country from the countless attacks. I also am thinking of the Israeli leaders as they guide the Holy Land out of darkness. I know many friends and family members that are currently in Israel; I am praying that you stay safe during this chaotic time.
Please join me as I stand with Israel as it experiences one of the most difficult times in its 65 years of existence.
I would like to close this article with a vintage video of one of the greatest Jewish entertainers of all-time’s rendition of Israel’s national anthem: “Hatikvah”.
I do not own Ms. Streisand’s performance of “Hatikvah,” it belongs to the American Broadcast Company.
