America’s Got Talent (AGT) continues to showcase its top alums for this season’s Results Shows.
This week, former Philadelphia Eagles long snapper turned magician Jon Dorenbos returned to showcase why he remains one of the top fan-favorites from AGT: Season 11. After he placed third during the show, Jon appeared on various media outlets, including The Ellen DeGeneres Show and released his autobiography: Life is Magic: My Inspiring Journey from Tragedy to Self-Discovery.
Tonight, five more acts will have the opportunity to follow in Jon Dorenbos’ footsteps. Last night, 11 more quarterfinalists performed across the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park and around the world. Which acts were advanced to the Season 15 semifinals immediately? Who needed the Dunkin’ Save and Judges’ Save to advance to the next round? Read on to find out!
After a behind-the-scenes recap of last night’s show, it was time to get down to business. Host Terry Crews revealed that W.A.F.F.L.E. Crew, Malik Dope, and Nolan Neal were all in danger of being eliminated and needed the Dunkin’ Save.
As the Dunkin’ Save contenders left the stage, Terry revealed the first result. Alan Silva and Dance Town Family were the first to receive the news. I was so happy when Terry announced that ALAN SILVA would advance to the Season 15 semifinals. The second set of results pitted Annie Jones, Sheldon Riley, and Cristina Rae against each other. As CRISTINA RAE screamed “Hallelujah” to the news that she advanced to the Season 15 semifinals, I yelled, “YES!” when magician MAX MAJOR was also promoted to the next round.
One of America’s Got Questions segment highlights was the surprise Zoom call from Sofia Vergara’s Modern Family co-star (and on-screen husband) Ed O’Neil. After a happily surprised Sofia said “Goodbye” to Ed, Jon Dorenbos took the stage. As always, Jon delivered an incredible combination of storytelling and magic that made me smile. As Jon left the stage, Simon, Howie, and Heidi tried to get inside her head.
Throughout the evening, fans had their chance to save either W.A.F.F.L.E. Crew, Nolan Neal, and Malik Dope using the Dunkin’ Save. The AGT fans gave the Dunkin’ Save to Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer act: W.A.F.F.L.E. Crew! That left Nolan and Malik’s fates up to Heidi, Howie, and Sofia.
Heidi kicked off the deliberation by praising both acts, but stated that she would advance Malik Dope. Sofia decided to advance Nolan Neal. That left Howie as the deciding vote, he decided to go with MALIK DOPE!!!
Next week, the final set of Season 15 Quarterfinalists compete!
