What do En Vogue, Wilson Phillips, the Spice Girls, the Pussycat Dolls, and Fifth Harmony have in common? They are all Girl Groups!

The Masked Singer: Season 11 is celebrating Girl Groups tonight. Group B (the Beets, Gumball, and Miss Cleocatra) tackled some of the genre’s biggest hits as the final Season 11 Wild Card performer, the Seal, made their presence known. Which performers made it to the Group B finals? Who had to sing for their lives in the Smackdown? Did the panelists (Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Robin Thicke, and Rita Ora) correctly deduce the eliminated performer’s true identity?

Read on to find out!

The panel started the evening with their take on the Spice Girls’ “Wannabee.” Rita Ora carried the quartet for this performance. As the panel returned to their desk, Miss Cleopatra returned to the stage! Her pre-performance package revealed a cobra and photos of Bette Midler and Whoopi. I still believe that the legendary Jenifer Lewis is still under the Miss Cleocatra Mask, and she stole the show with a rousing cover of En Vogue’s “Free Your Mind.” Some of Masked Singer’s beloved alums associated with girl groups would present clues for tonight’s clues. Carnie Wilson (The Lambs) kicked it off with a serenade of The Supremes’ “Stop! In The Name of Love.” She revealed that she is connected to the Supremes. Rita guessed Roberta Flack, while Robin suggested Loretta Devine. Meanwhile, Ken added Jenifer Lewis (DING! DING! DING!).

The Beets are back! This duo’s pre-performance package included a boarding pass, a restaurant menu, and desserts. They sang the Pointer Sisters’ “I’m So Excited” and still believe they are Ruben and Clay! Their performance took me back to American Idol’s golden era, as they did a group number every week before the eliminations. Cheetah Girl alum and Season Two alum Raven-Symone sang SWV’s “Weak” and revealed that they performed on Broadway. Robin thought it was Brooks and Dunn, while Jenny guessed Tituss Burgess and Alan Cumming. Meanwhile, Rita suggested Zac Braff and Donald Faison.

Gumball Mask was almost sent home the last time he was on the stage, but he turned it around by winning the Smack Down. His pre-performance package included angel wings, the moon, the globe, and bowling pins. He sang The Chicks’ “Wide Open Spaces,” and I think that this is Jimmie Allen. Carnie Wilson returned and sang “Don’t Cha, while Gumball revealed that he starred with Channing Tatum. Rita guessed Aaron Taylor-Johnson, while Jenny thought it was Derek Hough. Meanwhile, Ken suggested Taran Killian.

Seal Mask, the final Season 11 Wild Card, entered The Masked Singer stage. Their pre-performance package included a treasure chest, science kits, and television sets. He sang a rock version of Wilson Phillips’ “Hold On,” and I do not know who was under the mask. Also, the performance was average. Raven-Symone returned to the stage to sing Fifth Harmony’s “Boss.” Seal revealed that Steven Spielberg was his boss. Ken thought it was Haley Joel Osment, while Jenny suggested Corey Feldman. Meanwhile, Robin guessed Sean Astin.

The Masked Singer studio audience and panelists voted to send Miss Cleocatra(!) and Seal to the smackdown. Miss Cleocatra sang a jazzy version of “Waterfalls” that gave me chills, while Seal brought a rock version that sounded much like his “Hold On” cover. The panel voted to advance SEAL (WTF?) to the Group B finals! MISS CLEOCATRA WAS ROBBED!  KEN & I WERE RIGHT…JENIFER LEWIS WAS MISS CLEOCATRA!

Next week, The Masked Singer: Season 11 Group B reminisce on the Soundtrack of their Lives.
