The Masked Singer: Season Three is going so fast!
Over the past few episodes, we have seen several superstars such as Drew Carey, Chaka Khan, and Tony Hawk leave the competition. Tonight, the remaining five masked performers faced off to compete in the Group B finals. Which Masked Singer performers impress Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger? Did the panel correctly deduce the performer’s identities? Read on to find out!
This week, comedian Gabriel Iglesias visited The Masked Singer. In case you do not know, Gabriel and Nick Cannon worked on a show called All That. Up first, the Banana took the stage. During the pre-performance monologue, I thought I heard Larry the Cable Guy’s voice. However, when the Banana sang Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Achy Breaky Heart,” I could not pick out the voice. Ken praised the Banana’s showmanship, and the Banana revealed that he loved art. The panel guessed Larry the Cable Guy, Ed Helms, Billy Bob Thornton, and Erik Estrada.
The legendary Mouse Mask returned to the Masked Singer stage. This week, she sang Natalie Cole’s “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love),” and I immediately recognized Dionne Warwick’s voice. Robin loved her tone, and she revealed that math was her favorite subject. The panel guessed Traci Ellis Ross, Tina Turner, and Dionne Warwick (right on, Robin and Nicole)!
The Frog Mask was the third Masked Singer performer to entertain Gabriel Iglesias and the panel. One of the weirdest performances of the evening was the Frog rapping 50 Cent’s “In Da Club.” It had a Latin flair, but the performer entertained the audience with some slick choreography. Nicole named the Frog Mask…her favorite performer this season. The panel guessed Alfonso Ribeiro, Kevin Hart, and Omarion.
The delicious Taco Mask entered the Masked Singer stage and dedicated his second performance to his wife, and his performance of “Bossa Nova” was terrific! I recognized the tone of the Taco’s voice, and it belonged to Dancing with the Stars and Hollywood Squares host Tom Bergeron. Nicole called the performance “spicy,” while Gabriel joked that he wanted to eat the performance. The panel guessed that either Harry Connick, Jr., Seth MacFarlane, Alec Baldwin, and Ted Danson were the Taco.
The Kitty Mask was the last Masked Singer performer to take the stage. She revealed that she loves to sew and found confidence under her mask. Tonight, she sang Brett Young’s “Mercy,” and it was a brilliant performance. I recognized Kitty’s tone, and it was actress and singer Sabrina Carpenter. Gabriel stated that he was blown away by the performance, and Robin declared her ” one of the favorites.” The panel guessed Millie Bobby Brown, Amanda Seyfried, and Sarah Hyland was the Kitty.
After the panel and the audience voted, it was the Mouse! Not again!! We cannot keep losing these legendary voices! The panel made their final guesses. Robin, Nicole, Jenny, and Gabriel guessed that it was Dionne Warwick. Meanwhile, Ken still picked Tina Turner. Ken stood alone as the others were right…MOUSE MASK was DIONNE WARWICK!
