We are only two weeks into The Masked Singer: Season 3 and one group is having a championship match. Due to enormous cast, the show’s producers divided its 18 undercover celebrities into three different groups. Group A featured Miss Monster, the Llama, the Turtle, the White Tiger, the Kangaroo, and the Robot.
The Masked Singer: Season 3 panel (Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke) are zero-for-two when it comes to correctly predict the disguised celebrities. After the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl, the Robot (Lil Wayne) was eliminated. Last week, The Masked Singer: Season 3 said “goodbye” to the Llama, who was really Drew Carey!
Tonight, one more mask from Group A will say goodbye! Who was unmasked? Who are the three masked performers that will move onto the season’s final nine? Read on to find out!
The Turtle kicked off the evening’s solo performances. He sang Shawn Mendes’ “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back,” and after listening carefully, I heard Jesse McCartney’s voice. He also showcased some smooth dance moves that riled up The Masked Singer audience. Nicole called it, “Her Favorite Performance of the Season So Far.” The Turtle also revealed that he spent the morning with Nicole. The panel thought it was Nick Lachey, Jaden Smith, and Hunter Hayes.
Miss Monster returned to The Masked Singer stage for a chance to perform in the Super Nine. The legendary singer performed Lesley Gore’s “You Don’t Own Me,” and it sounded like Chaka Khan! Nicole called the voice “iconic,” and her performance effortless. Miss Monster gave a Valentine to Robin. She revealed that they had performed at a concert in Las Vegas. The panel guessed Queen Latifah, Mary Wilson, and Gloria Gaynor. As she walked off the stage, Robin and Nicole began to think it was Chaka Khan (right on the money, guys!)
The Kangaroo never thought she would make it to The Masked Singer. After hearing encouraging younger brother, she sang Sia’s “Diamonds.” I am late to the party when it comes to guessing, but I think it could be Jordyn Woods. Robin loved her vocal performance, while the Kangaroo gave Leah a valentine and stated that her bravery inspired her. The panel guessed it was Lindsay Lohan, Jordin Sparks, and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Also, they announced the first Masked Singer tour.
The final Masked Singer to perform tonight was the White Tiger, who entertained the entire staff backstage. His college roommate talked about a Magic Mike routine that they did to entertain the ladies. He rapped Queen’s “We Will Rock You,” and I believe that White Tiger is Gronk! Jenny hoped that the White Tiger stayed in the competition. Meanwhile, the White Tiger gave the SiriusXM host a valentine. She guessed that the White Tiger was Gronk (and she was right on the money!). The panelists thought it was Fabio or Joe Manganiello.
After the panelists and The Masked Singer audience voted and the performer leaving the competition was MISS MONSTER! (WAH!!!) The panel’s final guesses were Chaka Khan (Nicole and Robin), Reba McEntire (Ken), Queen Latifah (Jenny), and Mary Wilson (Leah). Both Nicole and Robin were right, it was the legendary CHAKA KHAN!
