This is it! After weeks of competition and surprising eliminations (we miss you, Patti LaBelle, Ana Gasteyer, and Seal), there were three Masked Singer performers left standing. Tonight, either the Flamingo, the Fox, or the Rottweiler will join T-Pain in the Masked Singer Hall of Fame.
Who won Season Two of The Masked Singer? Did the panelists (Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg) correctly deduce their identities? Read on to find out!
For the first time this season, all three finalists walked out with host Nick Cannon to make their grand entrance. After recapping the Masked Singer season featuring all previously eliminated contestants, the show looked at all three finalists that included past performances and panelist commentaries.
The Masked Singer’s second hour was when it was time to get down to business! All of the previously eliminated performers returned to support the Flamingo, Fox, and Rottweiler on their big night. Up first, the Fox shared his fairy tale ending with his young child before entering the stage. Tonight, he sang Otis Redding’s “Try A Little Tenderness,” and he (Wayne Brady) delivered a show-stopper. Nicole predicted that once the Fox unmasks, a new chapter in his career will begin! The panel’s second-to-last guesses included Jamie Foxx and Wayne Brady (Right on, Robin).
The Flamingo Mask has been on a wild ride this season. For her final song, she sang Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary.” This was her second-best performance of the season next to her enchanting cover of “Never Enough.” When I heard “Are you ready?” I knew it was The Real’s Adrienne Bailon. Robin and the ladies correctly predicted Adrienne Bailon, while Ken thought it was Fergie!
The Rottweiler was the final performer to sing on The Masked Singer stage. Of the last three, he has always been consistent with his performances. Tonight, he sang Sia’s “Alive,” and I immediately got chills from his vocals. I swear that the Rottweiler is Chris Daughtry! I loved his performances, and I pray that he releases this cover onto Apple Music after the show is done! Robin praised the Rottweiler’s performance, and the singer thought that he won. The panel thought it was Dave Franco, Darren Criss, and Jason Mraz.
After the final vote of the season, the third-place finalist was THE FLAMINGO MASK! The panel’s final guesses were Adrienne Bailon (Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke) and Jessica Simpson (Ken Jeong). Sorry, Ken! You were wrong! It was Adrienne Bailon!
Now it was down to the Rottweiler versus the Fox! The winner of the Masked Singer’s beloved Golden Mask was…THE FOX!!!! Which meant that the Rottweiler was the runner-up. The panel’s final guesses were Darren Criss (Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke), Jason Mraz (Jenny McCarthy), and Dave Franco (Ken Jeong). All of them were wrong!!! The Rottweiler was Chris Daughtry!!
After Chris left the stage, it was time to learn the Fox’s true identity. Ken and Jenny thought it was Jamie Foxx, but Nicole and Robin still believed it was Wayne Brady! It turned out that Nicole and Robin were right, the Fox was WAYNE BRADY!
The Masked Singer’s third season will air right after the Super Bowl on February 2, 2020!
