Welcome to the first 2014 edition of New Music Releases!
In this edition, you will find a diverse group of artists representing multiple musical genres!
High Hopes by Bruce Springsteen
The Boss is back! Springsteen’s eighteenth studio album is filled with a collection of covers and new takes on old favorites. As much I am a Bruce fan, some of the songs on the album might put people to sleep (ex: “Hunter of Invisible Game). Despite that small issue, fans will receive chills when they hear “The Ghost of Tom Joad” and “High Hopes.” I hope that Bruce’s nineteenth studio album is filled with more quality originals than lackluster fillers. That Girl by Jennifer Nettles
Country darling Jennifer Nettles delivered a brilliant solo album! From her superb vocals to brilliant arrangements, That Girl has something for everyone. Also keep an ear out from songs that were co-written from some of the music industry’s finest singer-songwriters including Richard Marx, Kevin Griffin and Sara Bareilles. A

“I’m A Freak” by Enrique Iglesias feat. Pitbull
Enrique continues to tease his tenth studio album by releasing his latest English single: “I’m A Freak.” This song not only features Mr. Worldwide himself but also positions “I’m A Freak” to be a chart conquer later on this spring. A-
“Can’t Remember to Forget You” by Shakira feat. Rihanna
What I love about this song is the paring of two successful international songbirds! I thought that Rihanna and Shakira’s would not blend well together…boy…I was wrong! “Can’t Remember to Forget You” will definitely be a club banger and I hope that the duo perform this song on The Voice this year! B+
“Eye of the Pyramid” by Will Champlin
Speaking of The Voice, one of my favorite artists that appeared on the fifth season of the NBC juggernaut released some new music. Fans would love listening to the Middle Eastern-meets-alternative rock arrangement and hearing Will’s impeccable voice. If he continues to produce this quality of music, Will’s debut album will be filled of numerous musical KOs that fans will be talking about for years! A+
I do not own the music that is sprinkled throughout the article! They belong to the artists and their respective record labels!
