Artists to Watch:
Jake’s Take’s Artists to Watch is back! Here are some of the artists that I believe will shake up the music industry!
117 by Ezra Jordan
Ezra Jordan’s sophomore EP, 117, is based on overcoming 2020 – one of the darkest years of his life. What impressed me the most about Ezra was his superb songwriting and arrangement process. Radio and streaming audiences will relate to his songs, and I am looking forward to seeing how he continues to grow in the years to come. B+
Tracks to Download: “Dollarama,” “bitter,” “heaven help me,” & “who I am.”
Stronger Than I Am by Lily Rose
Lily Rose released her extended play thanks to Big Loud Records and Back Blocks Music. An all-star group of collaborators such as Michael Tyler, Sam Hunt, Geoff Warburton, Julian Bunetta, Joey Moi, and Matthew Morrisey assisted in songwriting and producing the record. I love Lily’s storytelling ability and vocals. I genuinely believe that she will make a substantial impact on Nashville and the country music industry. A-

“No Wifey” by Anjulie
Singer-songwriter Anjulie released her latest single: “No Wifey.” When I first heard the song, my mind immediately gravitated towards both to musical stylings of Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” and “Dear Future Husband.” I was thoroughly impressed, and I believe that the bubblegum pop music world would be too! “The Weekend” by BiBi
South Korean-based Alt-R&B K-pop singer BiBi has developed a massive international following. Now, she dropped a new single: “The Weekend.” Written by Dava and produced by Pink Slip and production duo max & kyle, “The Weekend” addresses BiBi’s previous relationship. BiBi has a fantastic sound, and I cannot wait to hear what she does next. A-
“She’s Got It” by Konshens featuring Rafa Pabon
Dancehall recording artist Konshens teamed up with Rafa Pabon for the high-energy track “She’s Got It.” The song’s irresistible beat will make listeners dance in their seats, and I could see this song conquer multiple playlists across radio and streaming services. “She’s Got It” is a solid start for Konshens’ up-and-coming album. “Snake Lady” by Nadia Vaeh
Atlanta native Nadia Vaeh rounds out this edition of Jake’s Take’s New Music Reviews with “Snake Lady.” The song is the perfect Halloween track as Nadia’s power pop rock vocals weave a haunting tale of meeting this incarnation of Medusa. B+
