It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Starting October 3, thousands of pop culture aficionados will be ascend to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City to celebrate the 2019 New York Comic-Con (NYCC).
Besides the outlandish cosplayers and meeting some of my favorite creators, I truly enjoy your panels. Here are some of the day one panels that fans should check out!
The Dynamic Duo: Christopher Sabat & Sean Schemmel (Room 1A06-Javits Center; 12:15 to 1:15 PM)
Calling all Dragon Ball Z & Dragon Ball Super fans! Voice actors Christopher Sabat (Vegeta and Piccolo) and Sean Schemmel (Goku and King Kai) will be holding court at NYCC. This is your chance to hear this dynamic duo talk about their respective careers.

It has been a decade since the Walt Disney Company acquired Marvel Entertainment. Now, several classic characters are making their way towards the Disney theme parks around the world. The Disney Parks creative team will be at NYCC to preview Avengers Campus and potential other rides that could pop up at various Disney properties.
Spider-Man Spectacular: A This Week in Marvel Special Event (Room 1A24-Javits Center; 2:45 to 3:45 PM)
This Week in Marvel will broadcast a special podcast at NYCC. This Week in Marvel co-hosts Ryan Penagos, and Lorraine Clink will talk about the Spider-Man universe. Spider-Man 2099, Ghost-Spider, Miles Morales, and Mary Jane, will be spotlighted, plus several creators including Saladin Ahmed, Seanan McGuire, Leah Williams, and Patrick Gleason, will be in attendance.
DC Meet the Publishers (Room 1A24-Javits Center; 4 to 5 PM)
One panel that I look forward to every NYCC is DC Comics’ Meet the Publishers. Dan DiDio and Jim Lee will give the state of DC Comics and could tease about the next chapter in our favorite heroes and villains. Also, this panel also tends to bring several surprise guests who might reveal some significant news to the fans.
StarTalk Live at New York Comic Con Hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson (Main Stage 1D-Javits Center; 7:30 to 8:30 PM)
Rounding out day one of the 2019 NYCC is a special live edition of StarTalk. Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson will bring his fan-favorite podcast and TV series to the Javits Center. Fans can expect special guests to join him on the Main Stage 1D.
