Masked Singer: Season One champion T-Pain is in the house! The show’s inaugural winner returned to join Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg at the panel.
Tonight, Group B’s final four (Banana, Frog, Kitty, and Taco) returned to the Masked Singer stage for one last chance to impress. Did T-Pain and the panel correctly deduce the performers’ true identities? Who advanced? Which performers joined Chaka Khan, Dionne Warwick, Drew Carey, and Tony Hawk in the unmasked club? Read on to find out!
After Nick introduced the Masked Singer audience to guest panelist T-Pain, the Group B Final Four sang Backstreet Boys’ “Larger Than Life.” T-Pain praised the four quarterfinalists for the collaboration, while Jenny noted it was difficult to say goodbye to the artists.
Kitty Mask was the first performer to take the Masked Singer stage.
She sang Miranda Lambert’s “Mama’s Broken Heart.” I had to agree with Nicole, “she is the toughest performer to guess.” Sadly, it was not one of her best performances. However, T-Pain and the judges loved the performance. The Kitty Mask gave Robin a friendship bracelet that had the word: “fireworks,” which was a clue to their first meeting. T-Pain thought it was Christina Ricci, while Ken Jeong guessed Gossip Girl and Frozen star Kristen Bell.
Taco Mask was the next performer to take the Masked Singer stage. He sang The Four Tops’ “I Can’t Help Myself,” and I thought I knew the voice from the first note of the Backstreet Boys performance: Tom Bergeron! His friendship bracelet was for Nicole. The word said: “KISS.” The panel guessed Howie Mandel, Gene Simmons, and Jerry Springer was the Taco.
The Banana Mask was the third performer to face T-Pain and the panel. Tonight, he performed “Lean On Me,” and from the first note, I heard Bret Michaels’ voice. While he took the Masked Singer audience to church, Jenny praised him for bringing the audience to its feet. He dedicated “Lean on Me” to his late father. Banana gave a friendship bracelet to Jenny that stated: “90s Love.” The panel guessed Michael Andretti, Brad Paisley, Larry the Cable Guy, and Johnny Knoxville.
The final Masked Singer performer was the Frog. He sang “You Dropped A Bomb on Me” and it was his best performance so far, Nicole called him, “this season’s Fox Mask.” He gave the final friendship bracelet to T-Pain. It said: “All We Do is Win!” The panel guessed Ludacris, Tommy Davidson, and Omarion.
After the votes were tallied, Nick revealed that we had to say goodbye to Taco Mask. The panel’s final guesses were Barry Manilow (Nicole), Martin Short (Ken and Robin Thicke), Kelsey Grammer (T-Pain), and Jerry Springer (Jenny). Yes, I was right…it was Tom Bergeron!!!
