Last night, The Voice Top 10 sang their hearts out!
While none of the artists did not make it into iTunes’ Top 10, they delivered memorable performances. Unfortunately, two of them were eliminated at the end of the show.
So which artists were declared safe? Who were the final three artists that battled it out for the viewers’ Instant Save? Read on to find out…
Before Carson read the first batch of results, Matthew Schuler and Jacquie Lee joined forces with their divalicious coach, Christina Aguilera, to perform a medley of hits that paid tribute to Janet Jackson and her brother, the late King of Pop: Michael Jackson!
In addition to the performance, Carson exclusively revealed that Adam is People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive! The latest cover guy stated that his team has yet to reach their potential. Meanwhile, CeeLo talked about Kat and Caroline’s strengths plus Christina praised her contestants and stated that they have “careers beyond this show.”
After a star-studded Voice confessional, Team Adam’s James Wolpert and Team Christina’s Matthew Schuler were the first two artists that were saved from elimination. James celebrated by teaming with Will Champlin and Kat Robichaud on a cover of Fall Out Boy’s “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down.” The next two artists that were saved were Team Blake’s Ray Boudreaux (WRONG DECISION…AMERICA!) and Team Adam’s Will Champlin (YES!!! You got this one right!).
The three-time Voice champion teamed up with Ray, Cole Vosbury and Austin Jenckes and performed ZZ Top’s “Sharped Dressed Man.” After both Blake and Ray exited the stage, Carson revealed that Team Adam’s Tessanne Chin and Team Christina’s Jacquie Lee were saved.
Before the final pre-Instant Save result was revealed…Tessanne Chin and Caroline Pennell delivered a superb cover of Lorde’s “Royals.” The last artist saved by America’s votes was Team Blake’s Cole Vosbury. This left Austin, Caroline and Kat in jeopardy.
Thanks to the Voice’s Instant Save, fans saved…Caroline Pennell!
Next week, The Voice Top Eight perform! I cannot wait to experience it live in Los Angeles!
