There were incredible highlights during last night’s telecast of the Academy Awards.
Here are some of the evening’s most memorable and talked about moments….
The Oscars celebrates James Bond
One of the highlights in the early evening was the Academy Awards tribute to James Bond. After the montage of classic Bond moments featuring all six men who played the super spy, the legendary performer concluded the tribute with a fiery and powerful rendition of the classic James Bond anthem: “Goldfinger” that received a standing ovation from the audience.
Jennifer Hudson astonishes the crowd
Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson returned to the Dolby Theatre stage to perform the song that made her not only the 2007 Best Supporting Actress winner for Dreamgirls, but also a superstar. Her performance of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” gave everyone chills and Jennifer actually sang it better than she did on the Dreamgirls film.
Les Miserables’ Medley

Barbra Streisand performs
The Oscar icon returned to the stage to perform on the Academy Awards stage for the first time since she performed “Evergreen” in 1977. Even at 70-years-old, the music legend sounded amazing as she paid tribute to her friend: the late Marvin Hamlisch with a spellbinding performance of “The Way We Were.”
Daniel Day-Lewis makes Oscar history
Daniel Day-Lewis makes Oscar history as he receives his third Best Actor Oscar for his amazing portrayal of Abraham Lincoln. In addition to his incredible speech, Day-Lewis also proved that he could make people laugh as he shared a hysterical joke about trading roles with Meryl Streep with the audience.
