The Grammys are 10 days away! While everyone is prepping for the Super Bowl, I am preparing to celebrate music’s biggest night by spanning a countdown of incredible Grammy moments that will appear on not only jacobelyacharjournalist.com but my Examiner.com page as well. Part three of this countdown includes a diverse group of artists including country legend Dolly Parton, Backstreet Boys and the late Amy Winehouse.
40. Dolly Parton, Traveling Prayer (2001)

39. Elton John & Backstreet Boys, Philadelphia Freedom (2000)
Backstreet Boys and Sir Elton John took to the stage to perform one of the British Piano Man’s classics. This song featured Elton on main vocals while the mega-popular boy band provided accompanying vocals. 38. Shakira & Wyclef Jean, Hips Don’t Lie (2007)
One of the most explosive performances came from Shakira and Wyclef Jean’s duet “Hips Don’t Lie.” This song fused pop, Latin, hip-hop and Bollywood dancing that made this presentation one of the most memorable performances from this year’s Grammys. 37. Justin Timberlake, What Goes Around (2007)
Another Grammy standout performance came from Justin Timberlake. The former *NSYNC star performed his hit “What Goes Around” from his second album FutureSex/LoveSounds with a mini-backing orchestra that featured superb background singers and musicians. One of the things that made this performance unique was Justin’s usage of camcorder that blasted a close-up of his face to the audience. 36. Amy Winehouse, You Know I’m No Good/ Rehab (2008)
The 2008 Grammy Awards could be known as Amy Winehouse’s best night ever. During the ceremony, the late British songbird won five awards including Best New Artist and Song of the Year for “Rehab.” She soared during “You Know I’m No Good” and showed off her vocals while her signature award-winning song.

We are in the first round balloting which is open to anyone who makes the submission deadline and is a NARAS member, which is hundreds of thousands and voting has not begun yet.NARAS only considers you a nominee when you are in the top five. The five recordings that earn the most votes in each category become the nominees. There may be more than five nominees if there is a tie in the nomination process. Therefore, our chances are well, you know.
