Last summer, America was introduced to the Bad Boys of Hand Balancing!
Longtime friends and acrocomedians, Kristofer and Stefan, delivered out of this world performances on the eighth season of America’s Got Talent (AGT). The duo made it all the way to the Top 12 and was one of the acts that represent the NBC summer hit on the 2013 America’s Got Talent live tour.
The guys have also performed on The Today Show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and multiple Las Vegas venues including MGM’s Studio 54, Nathan Burton Comedy Magic and Wynn Las Vegas’s Le Reve.
For this edition of The 5 Question Challenge, the guys talked about the lessons that they learned from their time on AGT and how they prepare their gravity-defying routines.
Jacob Elyachar: What were some of the challenges that you faced in your careers? How did you overcome them?
Kristofer: Injuries are always tough to get through. We have injured almost every part of our bodies, but we just keep on going! Psychologically staying motivated helps to get through them and push on… champion style!
JE: What were some of the lessons that you learned when you competed on “America’s Got Talent”? How are you implementing them with building your career?
Stefan: Build social media! It was incredibly important on AGT. So, now we are paying more attention to social media and how we are marketing ourselves.
JE: How long does it take to prepare a routine? What factors that you consider when you plan a performance?
K: It all depends. It can take a week, a few days, or even ideas can come just in a moment. If we are planning for a specific event, then the focus is just on that and there is usually a limited time we have to prepare a routine. If we are just brainstorming for ideas to write down for future use, then it can be something we mull over for a while.
JE: What are your goals for 2014?
S: We would love to make some cameos in movies and also film commercials.
JE: If you had the chance to meet with aspiring acrobats and dancers who want to enter the entertainment industry, what advice would you share with them?
K: Do not expect it to come easy.
