#8: The Way We Were-Beyoncé
Four years after paying tribute to the Queen of Rock, the R&B superstar returned to pay tribute to the legendary superstar Barbra Streisand. Her rendition of Stresiand’s legendary song took viewers’ breaths away and gave them chills.

#4: Love Reign O’er Me-Bettye LaVette

At leat for me, there is no one compared with Ray Charles singing “My Buddy” in the tribute to Quincy Jones. His version and his performance is simply touching and astonishing. It takes your breath away.
What about the NYC Breakers dancing in tribute to Katherine Dunham in 1983? Or Michael Tilson Thomas conducting the overture from Candide in tribute to Leonard Bernstein?
Hi Anton! I started watching the Kennedy Center Honors around the 2000s, my first ceremony that I watched was the 2001 ceremony. Also, I only counted pop/R&B/country/rock performances because that is the focus of my countdown.
