Hello Wonderland fans!
It has been too long since we last saw our favorite characters. But, in case you missed it…here is a brief summary of what happened during the fall season finale…
Alice and Cyrus finally reunited! In addition, the Knave (Will) and the Red Queen began a path towards reconciliation. However, their reunion was short-lived as Jafar summoned a powerful magic spell that nearly killed the Knave and Alice. In his breath, the Knave used Alice’s final wish to end her suffering.
Cyrus granted that wish and found himself free…meanwhile, the Knave, found himself trapped in the bottle. How did the trio save the Knave? Read on to find out…
Will was freed from Cyrus’s bottle and met his new master: Lizard! While Will was figuring out the situation, Alice woke up and found Cyrus waiting for her. Unfortunately, she also found an unexpected (and unwanted guest): Anastasia, the villainess formerly known as the Red Queen. Before Alice attacked her rival, Cyrus revealed that they couldn’t leave Wonderland until they save Will.
As Jafar took a victory lap and took over the Red Queen’s palace, he found himself in another bickering match with the Sultan. Once, Jafar ordered his father out…the Caterpillar visited his master and told him of a dangerous creature that could help him find the Genie: the fearsome Jabberwocky. The villainous sorcerer headed deep into Wonderland to find this creature. He was able to climb to the Tower and found multiple bodies and the Jabberwocky stated that she was in his mind.
While Jafar and the Jabberwocky got to know each other better, several angry villagers captured the Red Queen. The villagers wanted to get even with Anastasia for all the terrible things she did to them while in power. Even with the intervention of Alice and Cyrus, the trio found themselves tied up and were ready to be eaten by Wonderland’s rabid creatures. Alice sacrificed Cyrus’s locket to save the trio. Despite losing the locket, Cyrus presented something better to Alice…an engagement ring.
Unfortunately, all magic comes with a price as Lizard used her third wish to make Will fall in love with her. She was instantly killed because she broke a crucial rule…”genies cannot make people fall in love with them.” A heartbroken Will briefly returned to the bottle until Anastasia (much to anger of Alice and Cyrus) released him. The quartet made an uneasy alliance to stop Jafar and save Cyrus’ brothers….which Anastasia revealed she seen in the villain’s possession in previous episodes.
Next week, the quartet prepares to take back Wonderland from Jafar and the deadly Jabberwocky.
