Last week, the first set of America’s Got Talent (AGT): Season 15 semifinalists took the stages of Universal Studios Hollywood and locations worldwide. By the end of Wednesday night, Broken Roots, Brandon Leake, Roberta Battaglia, Alan Silva, and Archie Williams all secured their spots to the Season 15 finale.
Tonight, the last set of Season 15 semifinalists competed for the remaining spots. Which acts rose to the occasion? Did Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, or Sofia Vergara buzz a performer? Read on to find out!
After receiving advice from Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer act W.A.F.F.L.E. Crew kicked off the night! The group performed at the Fast and Furious set. I was impressed with their choreography, and they brilliantly showcased their personalities. B+
I will be honest with you, Kendai Dodds did not deserve to make it this far. While it was lovely seeing Kendai guided her father across the Universal Studios lot, I am not paying $200 to see Kendai perform. That being said, she does have a bright future ahead of her. C-
Max Major is one of my favorite acts remaining in the competition. Las Vegas is ready for him and has overcome so many obstacles this season (a Zoom audience versus a real audience). Tonight, Heidi Klum joined Max on the Universal Studios Hollywood soundstage. He invited the veteran judge to grab a poker chip. Next, they played roulette and asked Howie, Sofia, Terry Crews, and a random Zoom audience family to place their bets. After they shouted out random numbers (22, 10, 4, 15, 24, and 14), it turned out they were lottery numbers! I also loved the end of the routine. I hope he makes it to the end. A-
The Bello Sisters were the next act to perform tonight. They flawlessly delivered an impeccable routine that made me pick up my jaw from the floor. Whatever happens tomorrow night, these girls have the world at their fingertips. B+
Celina was the next performer to face the AGT fanbase. She received the Dunkin’ Save from the fans. Tonight, she tackled Labrinth’s “Jealous” for her chance to sing on finale night. When I heard Celina’s voice, her vocal tone has shades of P!nk and Queen Latifah. I hope that she has the chance to shine in the finale and the music industry. B+
The judges and Terry Crews headed outside to see what Jonathan Goodwin had to offer. He barely got into the Season 15 semifinals thanks to the Dunkin’ Save. Jonathan revealed that his greatest fear was falling without anything saving him. Tonight, he performed 60 feet in the air to a zipline. Jonathan admitted that he had a lock that he needed to undo. But before he got to the padlock, he had to untie his hands and avoid the burning ropes. Jonathan also mentioned that he would be riding the zipline with his teeth. This was a crazy stunt from start to finish, and it was officially the scariest stunt that I have ever seen on AGT! A+
Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer act, Cristina Rae, was the next person to face the judges. She sang Cynthia Erivo’s “Jump” for her chance to get into the final. I got chills by the performance, and I thought that she made Cynthia proud of the performance. I hope that she sails through to the finale! A
The show traveled to India to see Bad Salsa perform. The brother-and-sister-like duo always entertained the audience each round and have made India very proud with their performance. I could not stop smiling during their performance. Every time they perform, their precise choreography leaves me spellbound. If we were to only have one dance act in the final, I would want to see Bad Salsa in it. A+
Terry Crews’ Golden Buzzer, Voices of our City Choir, took the AGT stage. Before they took the stage, the choir members paid homage to their director Steph Johnson. It was a moving tribute to Steph. Tonight, they sang David Bowie’s “Heroes.” I immediately got chills when they started performing. This was a stunning performance from start to finish, and I was brought to tears. B+/A-
Sword swallower Brett Loudermilk decided to use Howie for his latest performance. He took the audience to the Loudermilk Clinic. I loved the routine from start to finish, and even though it was gross, Brett made me smile! However, I think he could be in danger based on Sofia and Howie’s comments. B-
Daneliya Tuleshova was the final performer of the evening! She received a lot of encouragement from her mother. Daneliya sang Jessie J’s “Who You Are,” and I was very impressed with her vocals. I thought she made the former Voice UK and Voice Australia coach very proud with her performance. I see Daneliya have success on Disney or Nickelodeon after the show ends. B+
Tomorrow night, BTS & Colin Cloud provide the entertainment as the last finalists are revealed!
