Since its debut last year on ABC, Once Upon A Time has done a great job showing new imaginings of our favorite literary heroes (Snow White, Belle and Prince Charming) and villains (the Evil Queen, Maleficent and Rumpelstiltskin).
Now with the likes of Captain Hook, Mulan and Dr. Frankenstein running around the Once universe, I think it would be awesome have the following three heroes and three villains interacting with either the Storybrooke or Enchanted Forest crew:
Heroes:
Sherlock Holmes: Last week’s episode: The Doctor showed that the Enchanted Forest could interact with many different worlds. Now it would be interesting to bring the Master Detective to either the Enchanted Forest to help Snow and Emma find their way back to Storybrooke or “help” Charming run Storybrooke. It would actually be interesting to have Holmes interact with either Mr. Gold or Regina.
The only actor that could play the Master Detective is Benedict Cumberbatch. To watch this intriguing video of “Sherlock vs. Sherlock,” click here: http://youtu.be/eLgCwVRWJB8
Glinda the Good Witch: The producers of the show stated that there could be a possibility of Once traveling to the Wonderful World of Oz in the future. If Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz decide to go that route, they need to use Glinda the Good Witch in their story. Fans would love to see a magical catfight between either the Oz leader with either the show’s most dangerous witches: Cora or Regina.
There could be a ratings increase if the Once production team manages to get Kristin Chenoweth to reprise her role from Wicked for two to four episodes on the hit ABC drama.
Peter Pan: If Captain Hook has made his presence known in the Once universe, does this mean that his eternal nemesis: Peter Pan will make his appearance in the future? By having Peter on the show, it might give Henry to have a much-needed older brother figure to look up and Peter could be a good role model for Henry to have in his life.
A good candidate for this role would be Lucas Grabeel because he perfectly fits the role because of his past projects including High School Musical, Smallville and his current project: Switched at Birth.
The Villains:
Cruella De Vil: Regina and Mr. Gold need to have more sophisticated opponent then former storybook characters out for revenge. By bringing Cruella De Vil into the series, she could actually start building bigger businesses that could not only help several Storybrooke citizens get back on their feet but could challenge Regina and Gold’s hold on the town. In fact, Cruella’s presence might even see Regina and Archie team-up to save Pongo from Ms. De Vil’s clutches.
There is only one actress that could play Cruella De Vil and it is…. Glenn Close. To see Ms. Close’s performance as the villainess, click here: http://youtu.be/dgsjdH4TrkI
Count Dracula: If Dr. Frankenstein can be seen in Once Upon A Time, then the Once producers could throw in the Prince of Darkness to add some supernatural elements to the series. Count Dracula could definitely be an opponent that is worthy to tackle the Charming Family and any of the show’s four antagonists.
While it would tough to grab him, the Once producers should consider casting Gary Oldman as the Count.
Medusa: If the show can visit lands outside of the Enchanted Forest, then they should try to visit Ancient Greece in future seasons. One character that could used for a future villainous role is Medusa. Her M.O. might be a scorned rival of Regina due to beauty and magic abilities or one of Mr. Gold’s old clients, who broke a deal with the villainous businessmen.
Uma Thurman briefly played Medusa in Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief and would be a good choice to play the Gorgon if the show’s producers decide to include her in the Once Upon A Time universe.
