10. Christian Porter & the Swon Brothers: “I Won’t Back Down

Our countdown kicks off with Team Blake’s Christian Porter and the Swon Brothers’ cover of the Tom Petty classic.  Their voices blended so well together and this was definitely one of the best Battle Rounds of the season.   In addition, a lot of fans wished that Blake could have made them into a trio.

9. Kris Thomas: “Saving All My Love For You

When Kris auditioned, he managed to catch Shakira’s attention with his amazing falsetto.   Adam, Blake and Usher were shocked when they turned around and this was definitely the surprise of the season.

8. Midas Whale & Patrick Dodd: “Burning Love

Throughout this season, Adam made a lot of mistakes.   But sometimes his mistakes created some amazing performances.  For instance, when he paired Folk rockers Midas Whale with Neo-Soul man Patrick Dodd to tackle the King of Rock n’ Roll, the pairing created an incredible folk rock and neo soul tribute that captivated the nation.

7. Amber Carrington: “Skyfall

Amber soared when she tackled Adele’s Bond track.  With this performance, Team Adam’s resident country artist proved that she could master any genre of music that was thrown at her.

5. Monique Abbadie: “Loca

If you tackle one of the coaches’ songs, not only do you have to be bold but also you have to make the song your own.   Monique’s cover of Shakira’s “Loca” not only had strong and superb vocals but also was able to catch the attention of all four coaches and made Shakira dance in her seat.

4. Midas Whale: “Folsom Prison Blues

The Utah-based Folk Rockers’ Blind Audition made them early fan-favorites.  Their arrangement of Johnny Cash’s classic tune showcased their unique sound that made all four coaches fight over them.

2. Judith Hill & Karina Iglesias: “It’s A Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World

Every year, there has been a Battle Round that defies vocal logic and has everyone talking.  Last year, it was Team Christina’s Jesse Campbell and Anthony Evans’ “If I Ain’t Got You” and Team Cee Lo’s Trevin Hunte and Amanda Brown’s “A Vision of Love.”  It was Team Adam’s year to have this moment.   Judith and Karina’s epic battle was filled of octave leaps, outstanding vocals and a steal from Shakira.
