Planet Comicon starts tomorrow at Bartle Hall in Kansas City.

#10: Star Wars Fans Unite!
Ever wanted to join the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire? Planet Comicon will let you have the chance to enlist in either organization as the 501st Legion, the Mandalorian Mercs, the Rebel Legion and more fan groups will be out in full force. If you want to see these people in action, head to the Star Wars Costume Cavalcade at Hall B on Saturday.
#9: Gaming at Planet Comicon
Want to test your gaming skills at Planet Comicon? There will be a special room at the convention for gamers who will tackle a diverse group of games. You will never know whom you might meet or see in the game room.
#8: The DeLorean Time Machine
Doc Brown lent out a duplicate of his famous vehicle for Planet Comicon to show off at the convention. This vehicle had made appearances in commercials for Nike plus helps raise funds for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Make sure you have the chance to sit inside it.
#7: Traveling the Vortex Podcast
For the first time in its 13-year history, Planet Comicon will play host to the popular Doctor Who podcast. Even better, the show will record a live episode at the convention. This event is a must for Doctor Who fans.
#6: DC vs. Marvel
Several top creators of both top publishing companies will be at Planet Comicon to mingle with fans and participate on panels. If you are on Team DC, you might want to check out Saturday’s Direct from DC panel in Hall B at Noon with Scott Snyder and Brian Azzarello. But if you are wearing a Marvel T-shirt, you might want to attend Marvel: Your Universe’s panel an hour after DC’s panel. Creators that will be speaking at the panel include Jason Aaron, C.B. Cebulski, Gerry Duggan, Dennis Hopeless and Frank Tieri.
#5: Costume Contests
This year’s costume contests will be taken to another level. The TV channel SyFy will film both Saturday and Sunday’s costume contests for an upcoming reality TV show. So dress to impress!
#4: Exhibitors
Trying to find a copy of the first issue of Batman V2 #1 or Wolverine & the X-Men #16 for Scott or Jason to sign for you? What about a piece of Star Trek memorabilia that you want to have when you take your picture with George Takei or Wil Wheaton? There will be dozens of exhibitors at Bartle Hall that will have plenty of comics, action figures and movies that will satisfy your wallet and your inner fan.
#3: Media Guests
One of the biggest draws of the convention will be the media guests! Planet Comicon will play host to three legendary Trekkies (Daphne Ashbrook, Takei and Wheaton), multiple Star Wars actors (Stephen Costantino, Tom Kane, Peter Mayhew, Richard LeParemntier, Adrienne Wilkinson and Corey Dee Williams), Catwoman (Lee Meriwether), the Incredible Hulk (Lou Ferrigno) and an original Power Ranger (Walter Jones).
#2: Artist’s Alley
Both local and nationally known creators will mingle with fans at Artist’s Alley. Make sure you stop by and talk to them. They will appreciate it!
