In a few short hours, new judges Usher and Shakira will join Adam Levine and Blake Shelton for the fourth season of The Voice.

But before the newbies join the veterans at the coveted red chairs, here is the conclusion of my two-part series on the 20 Best Blind Auditions of The Voice.

10. Daniel Rosa: “Somebody That I Used to Know” (The Voice USA: Season Three)

Sometimes the coaches do not turn their chairs around.  It happened to Daniel Rosa in Season Two when the quartet was not able to bring him on their respective teams.   A season later, Daniel returned to the show and delivered a strong cover of “Somebody That I Used to Know” that caught the attention of both Blake and Cee Lo Green.

9. Amanda Brown: “Valerie” (The Voice USA: Season Three)

The former gospel and background singer gave a stunning upbeat cover of Amy Winehouse’s “Valerie” that pleased the audience and featured lots of superb ad-libs.  Even though she started off on Team Cee Lo, Amanda ended up in the Top 6 as a part of Team Adam.

8. Kim Yarbrough: “Tell Me Something Good” (The Voice USA: Season Two)

Powerhouse singer Kim Yarbrough stole the show on the second episode of the Voice’s sophomore season when she performed the Chaka Khan hit.  Her showmanship was amazing, her pipes astonished the crowd and made Adam and Christina Aguilera turn their chairs around.

7. Beverly McClellan: “Piece of My Heart” (The Voice USA: Season One)

Beverly made a great first impression as she delivered a rousing cover of Janis Joplin’s signature song.   Her fiery cover caught the ears of the “Moves Like Jagger” collaborators and continued to make her mentor Christina Aguilera proud as she represented Team Christina in the first season finale.

Jeff Jenkins' performance of "Bless the Broken Road" was a highlight in the show's first season. (Photo property of Warner Horizon Television, One Tree Media & NBC)

6. Jeff Jenkins: “Bless the Broken Road” (The Voice USA: Season One)

The show’s first Country singer delivered a moving cover of the Rascal Flatts hit that caught the attention of all four judges.

5. Joelle Moses: “Rolling in the Deep” (The Voice UK: Season One)

A lot of singers cover Adele’s songs on several Reality T.V. shows.  While there have been some successes and lots of failures, Joelle Moses’ performance of “Rolling in the Deep” is definitely the best Adele cover from the last five years.  After hearing intriguing offers from all four of The Voice: UK judges (will.i.am, Danny O’Donoghue, Jessie J and Sir Tom Jones), Joelle decided to join Team will.i.am.

4. Ruth Brown: “When Love Takes Over” (The Voice UK: Season One)

19-year-old choir singer Ruth Brown battled her nerves to deliver a stunning cover of David Guetta and Kelly Rowland’s dance floor hit.   In addition, Ruth sang one of the most powerful notes in the history of The Voice franchise.

3. Rachael Leahcar: “La Vie En Rose” (The Voice Australia: Season One)

The 17-year-old legally blind contestant won the hearts of Australia when she covered Edith Piaf’s “La Vie En Rose” during the inaugural season of the Australian version.    Her angelic voice caught the attention of all four judges (Seal, Joel Madden, Delta Goodrem and former judge Keith Urban)

2. Juliet Simms: “Oh! Darling!” (The Voice USA: Season Two)

Season Two’s future runner-up delivered a raw cover of the Beatles song. This cover caught the attention of her future mentor Cee Lo Green and both Adam and Christina.  Her performance “Oh! Darling!” was a strong indicator of things to come from the former Automatic Loveletter singer.

1. Trevin Hunte (The Voice USA: Season Three)

Queens’ native son’s cover of Beyonce’s “Listen” had the best Blind Audition of The Voice in the show’s history.  Trevin showed off his astonishing vocal range and showcased some incredible vocal runs that caught the attention of Blake, Christina and Cee Lo, who gave him a standing ovation after the performance.
