Day three of our countdown features songs from one outstanding rocker and four outstanding artists.

40. “Spectrum” by Florence + the Machine

One of the best songs from 2011 was Florence + the Machine’s fifth single from Ceremonials.  This song took listeners on a roller coaster that showed why this English indie rock band continuing to build their fan base.  Between strong vocals from Welch and incredible musicianship from the band, “Spectrum” will go down as one of baroque pop’s best hits in the 2010s.

39. “Rock Star City Life” by Lenny Kravitz

Lenny Kravitz’s ninth studio album: Black and White America featured some incredible tracks throughout the album.   But if you had to pick one song that will satisfy any hard rock enthusiast, it would be “Rock Star City Life.”   This track perfectly fused funk and rock together as Kravitz’s licks will please longtime and new fans alike.

38. “Price Tag” by Jessie J featuring B.o.B

The U.K. singer-songwriter made her debut two years ago with one of the catchiest songs of the 2010s.   Co-written by hit makers Dr. Luke and Claude Kelly plus a cameo appearance from B.o.B, “Price Tag” featured a diverse fusion of music genres from hip-hop, pop and reggae that had listeners on the dance floor.

37. “Some Nights” by fun.

Some Nights” is the second single off of fun.’s sophomore studio album.  This power pop track is an incredible piece of ear candy that music lovers will devour for years to come.

36.  “Skyfall” by Adele

After a successful sweep at the Grammys and giving birth to her first child, Adele returned to pen the best James Bond theme song of the 2000s.  This song had both incredible choral and orchestral arrangements plus Adele’s amazing vocals will make listeners put this song on repeat. ”Skyfall” will now set the standard for future singers and songwriters who want to record a Bond song.

Since the song’s lyric video was posted on October 18, 2012, it had been viewed over 34,000,000 times on YouTube and is currently placed at #50 on the YouTube 100.  To watch the lyric video, click here: http://youtu.be/DeumyOzKqgI
