Tonight…. all four coaches each needed one artist to complete their teams of 12!

Adam, Blake, Shakira and Usher fought harder than ever to convince the artists to join their teams.

Read on to found out…which artists received their final spots on the mentors’ teams and which coach was the first to complete their team!

Wichita, Kansas native Kaleigh Granton is a guitar virtuoso thanks to her dad.  In addition, she also does CrossFit (extra brownie points!). Before she went to face the audience, Kaleigh was determined to have “the best 90 seconds of her life.” She performed an intriguing cover of John Fogerty’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” that showcased her foxy vocals and superb high notes that had a blend of Tina and Cyndi.  Kaleigh was also the final four-chair turn of Season Six.  She was also the final member of Team Blake.

Brittnee Camelle faced numerous challenges growing up being biracial in the South. However, before going on stage…she faced a grim problem. If she got onto a team, Camelle lose her scholarship for nursing school.  While the first few seconds of “Skyscraper” was very rocky at the beginning, but reached all the necessary high notes to catch the attention of Usher and Shakira.  This started a very intense war of words between the two coaches.  While Shakira stated that she was in awe of Camille’s falsetto, Usher wanted to mentor and better her.  She took the final place on Usher’s roster.

In all honesty, country singer Lindsey Bruce was probably the most boring singer of the night. Yes, the 9-11 back story was patriotic and honest…but her performance of “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” left me wanting more from her.  I liked her lower register…but she chose the wrong song for her Blind Audition. While she completed Team Shakira, I hope that the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer can help her grow as an artist.

The final artist of the night was Caleb Elder.  He hoped to exit his donut shop job and get a position on Team Adam! I liked his attitude and perkiness in his performance of “Groove Me.” I hope that he goes far in the competition.

Next week, the Battle Rounds begin! The coaches also recruited some top talent including Jill Scott, Aloe Blacc, the Band Perry and Miranda Lambert to help their teams.  In addition, the Steals return!
