This past May, America’s Got Talent (AGT) began its nineteenth search for the next big act! Hundreds of acts traveled the country and from around the world in hopes to earn four Yeses from judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum. This season, we saw a record number of Golden Buzzers! While Terry Crews gave his out to comedian Learnmore Jonasi, the judges gave out three each – two during the Judges’ Auditions and one during the Season 19 Quarterfinals!
The AGT: Season 19 Live Shows saw star-making performances and shocking eliminations and tonight, one performer won the show’s iconic $1 million grand prize. Which performer joined Bianca Ryan, Terry Fator, Paul Zerdin, Brandon Leake, Dustin Tavella, and the Mayyas in the AGT Winners’ Circle? Read on to find out!
After Sky Elements illuminated the night sky, Season 14 Runner-Ups Detroit Youth Choir reunited with Terry Crews and performed a rousing cover of “High Hopes.” I have not been a massive fan of DYC, but I have to admit that they have grown into superb performers.
Seven-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles made a surprise appearance and assisted Terry Crews in co-hosting parts of the show. AIRFOOTWORKS joined Steve Aoki in a rousing performance. While I loved seeing AIRFOOTWORKS perform with Steve Aoki, seeing their mentor and Season 8 champion Kenichi Ebina perform alongside them would be excellent! Although, I am glad that Steve Aoki invited AIRFOOTWORKS to join him in Vegas.
Roni and Rhythm, Hakuna Matata Acrobats, and Brent Street joined forces to entertain the audience. After Hakuna Matata Acrobats performed an intense stunt, Rhythm and Roni danced a contemporary routine, and Brent Street delivered the heat with their performance. I wished the trio had more time to perform together.
Michael Buble took the stage after Simon Cowell revealed that he would release a line of his signature orange glasses. I would have loved to have seen The Voice coach perform with an act or an alum instead of performing solo. The AGT creative team should have invited Season Nine Runner-Up Emily West or Season 16 Quarterfinalist Storm Large to perform with the “I Just Haven’t Met You Yet” singer.
Richard Goodall joined Neal Schon and Journey members to perform their iconic anthem, “Don’t Stop Believin’.“ As someone who has watched AGT since the beginning, this was one of the best magical moments of all time! Also, congratulations to Richard, who married his long-time love this week!
Learnmore had the opportunity to open for Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias while he was in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Solange teamed up with the cast of Magic Mike Live for an intriguing collaboration.
AGT: Season 19’s Top Five were:
Sky Elements * Learnmore Jonasi * Richard Goodall * Solange * Roni & Rhythm
I am thrilled that two of my acts that I picked out made it this far!
Here are the final rankings:
Fifth Place – LEARNMORE JONASI
Fourth Place – SOLANGE
Third Place – SKY ELEMENTS (WOW!)
This left Richard and Roni and Rhythm as the Top Two Finalists of AGT: Season 19.
The winner of AGT: Season 19 was….RICHARD GOODALL!
CONGRATULATIONS Richard Goodall on winning AGT: Season 19!
