2012 will mark the 17th anniversary of the release Alanis Morisette’s highly successful third studio album: Jagged Little Pill.
This album reached number one in the U.S. Billboard 200 and the Top Canadian Albums in 1995. In addition, this album has helped Ms. Morissette earn four Grammy Awards including “Best Rock Album” and “Album of the Year.” In addition, Rolling Stone included it in its’ list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

The second track of the album featured not only clever lyrics by Alanis Morissette and incredible music composed by Alanis and Glen Ballard but contributions from Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea on the bass and Jane’s Addiction’s Dave Navarro on the guitar.

Jagged Little Pill’s seventh track “You Learn” is this author’s favorite track of the album because it gives honest advice to people who are in a funk. This catchy song features flawless vocals from Alanis and terrific background vocals and music that accompanied this song.

Head Over Feet
The eighth track on the album peaked at number one on both the U.S. Billboard Adult Top 40 and Top 40 Mainstream charts. “Head over Feet” features stupendous vocals from Alanis and incredible mixing from Glen Ballard. In addition, the song’s background musicians provide incredible support to help Alanis deliver this moving song.
