Today’s edition of What’s Coming focuses on the world of television and what is next for some of your favorite series…
Once Upon A Nightmare
ABC’s favorite fantasy drama’s second season continues this Sunday as Storybrooke receives two unwelcome visitors in the form of Cora (Barbara Hershey) and Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue). Their presence will push the Charmings’ relationship with Regina (Lana Parrilla) to the limit as they try to protect Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) from the crossfire. Meanwhile, Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) will look for his long-lost son, Bae, and viewers will meet more of Dr. Whale’s (David Anders) family, later on this season.

Rachael and Guy duke it out again
Celebrity chefs Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri will once again battle it out in the kitchen for a second season of Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off. The perky talk show host hopes to continue her winning streak as she enlisted the help of comedian Gilbert Gottfried, actress Kathy Najimy, NFL icon Hines Ward and singer Carnie Wilson. However, the Guy’s Big Bite host hopes to counter Team Rachael with his team that includes R&B artist Chilli, fashion designer Cornelia Guest, Figure Skater Johnny Weir and actor Dean McDermott. The competition begins Sunday on Food Network.
American Idol 5.0 debuts
The show that has launched the careers of Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry and Adam Lambert is back for its 12th season! Joining veteran judge Randy Jackson on the panel this season is superstar diva Mariah Carey, country artist Keith Urban and the flashy Nicki Minaj. The new season premieres on January 16.
30 Rock’s final bow
After seven hysterical seasons, Liz Lemon (Tina Fey), Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) and the entire TGS crew will take their final curtain call on January 31, 2013. Expect several story lines to wrap up including Jack coming to terms about his mother and how Tracy (Tracy Morgan) and Jenna (Jane Krakowski) take over TGS while Liz is away helping Jack.
Usher and Shakira join the Voice
The two-mega superstars will be joining both Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as coaches for the fourth season of the hit NBC singing competition. Hopefully the Grammy and American Music Award-winning judges can fill the void left behind by previous coaches Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, who left the show to continue their music careers.
The Newsroom’s second season
Aaron Sorkin’s hit HBO drama will be back for its sophomore season sometime in June. Last season, Will, MacKenzie and Charlie (played by Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer and Sam Waterston respectfully) outwitted their megalomaniac boss Leona Lansing (Jane Fonda) after she tried to fire Will from the fictional Atlantis Cable News show News Night. Already, Sorkin has hired three new actors that will join the cast as recurring characters and has personally stated that the General Petraeus story will not be covered during the season.
