Last night, The Voice: Season Six Final Five delivered a mix of spectacular and underwhelming performances!
Tonight, America’s votes were tallied up and the show revealed its Top Three.
Who made it to the finale? Which team(s) were eliminated from the competition? Read on to find out…
After a performance from Rascal Flatts, Carson revealed that Jake Worthington was heading to the finale! (Wrong choice, America!)
Before Carson revealed the next finalist who was being sent through, the show had its second to last Voice confessionals and a conversation with the coaches! Christina’s protégé Jacquie Lee returned to the stage and debuted her first single: “Broken Ones.” While there were some good moments with the performance, Jacquie needs to work on pitch control.
Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran surprised everyone with the announcement that he would be performing on next week’s finale. However, what was the most exciting moment of the night was Will Champlin’s homecoming performance! He brought the house down with the debut of “Eye of the Pyramid.”
As Josh Kaufman breathed a sigh of a relief, Kat Perkins, Christina Grimmie and Kristen Merlin prepared for their potential final performances! While the audience waited for the ladies, current reigning champ Tessanne Chin dropped her new single: “Everything Reminds Me of You.”
Kristen Merlin opened up the Save Me Round with a cover of Carrie Underwood’s “Blown Away.” I loved her vocal runs and I thought that she delivered a superb final performance. A- Kat Perkins tackled Carrie Underwood’s “Good Girl.” This is the third time that she is the Bottom Three and I think that the three-strike rule should apply! B Finally, Christina Grimmie tackled “Apologize.” It was a not a save worthy performance! C
The last person that moved on to the finale was…Christina Grimmie! Seriously, America?
Next week, Josh, Christina and Jake compete for the title!
