Davis grew up singing in his church choir in Georgia and found his calling in creating music. He moved to New York City, where he studied at the Dubspot School of Electronic Music. Davis performed as a DJ throughout the club scene before migrating to the songwriting capital of the world, Nashville, Tennessee, to write and record original music. He has released music on record labels including Warner Denmark, KnightVision, Delecta, Revealed, Hexagon, Armada, Sirup, Sidekick, Ego, Pyro, Kaliias, and Soave.
“Beautiful Girls (Diem’s Song),” a tribute to Davis Mallory’s MTV co-star Diem Brown, who lost her battle to cancer, garnered attention in E! News, MTV News, People Magazine, and US Weekly. In 2017, he signed the single “Loud” to Grammy-nominated DJ/producer Cedric Gervais’ label Delecta, quickly followed by a collaboration with Swedish DJ/producer John Dahlback (a member of Brohug) on a release titled “Anyone Would Know” signed to ArmadaRecords founded by Armin Van Buuren.
Davis Mallory released his debut EP “Loud” in 2017 on his independent label Lionboy Records, with the music video for the single “Be Without You” premiering on the influential music/ culture website PopDust. The track “Not That Far Away” received significant retail radio play in both the US and France, opening up the door to a 3-song project with French DJ Loic Penillo: “Thinking of U” signed to Warner Denmark; “Dance With Me” (airing on MTV France, nominated for Best Music Video at the 2018 International Out Web Awards) and “Drink You Away” both signed to French label Sidekick.
Other international music and video releases include “Sun and Moon,” premiering on Billboard, favorably reviewed by Huffington Post Senior Reporter – Curtis M. Wong; a remix of “Sun and Moon” by Algerian DJ RANDALL can be heard in Hulu’s original series Good Trouble. “Pitter Patter” produced by 17-year-old Swedish artist KAAG was signed to Warner Denmark. “Lost,” produced by Peruvian DJ Aaron Marz, was nominated for Best Music Video by DJ Mag Peru. “Let Me Go In Peace,” a duet with female EDM vocalist Luma, produced by Indian DJ Cosmos, debuted at #2 on India’s iTunes Alternative Charts and was supported by Asia’s largest music festival, Sunburn. “Let Love Rain Down” with Thai DJ Honey Gee was released on Pyro Records, a second collaboration with Luma. “Downtown” with Russian producer Deekey received a music video by Emmy-winning filmmaker Josh Shreve. Davis teamed up with popular Italian artist DJ From Mars on the release“Dance 2 the Beat” on Ego Italy, receiving radio play by Tiesto. “Believe” with Russian DJs Going Deeper was added to Spotify’s Mint EDM and Astralwerks’ Dance Party playlists. “Ain’t Gonna Happen” with German producer Glaceo released on Dutch label Soave, opening the door to follow-up Soave signings: “Without You I Feel Good” with Russian DJ Nexeri which quickly reached 1 million streams on Spotify; “Forever Young” co-written with Dutch artist PollyAnna & “It Took Work” with Swiss DJ Fenox and “Rescue” produced by OLWIK.
Davis launched his solo single “Jane Fonda,” a tribute to the famed actress with fellow Atlanta roots, followed by “Shirtless” with a premiere on the MTV show War of the Worlds and licensed in a commercial for Poolboy Swimwear.
His sophomore album , Little Victory, featured many of Nashville’s rising pop stars, including American Idol alum Madeline Finn on “Faith,” rapper Daisha McBride & vocalist Blake Lieder on “,” Best Pop Artist winner at the Nashville Indie Music Awards – Miss Audrey on “Fire Signs” premiering in Hollywood Life Magazine. A remix of “Little Victory” by French DJ RetroVision came out on Don Diablo’s label Hexagon , and a remix of the single “Forget U” by Swedish DJ John Dahlback came out on Hardwell’s label Revealed.
