It is a privilege to welcome actress and dancer Sarah Alexandra Marks to The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast.
Sarah was born in Essex, England. She trained as a dancer, going on to perform at prestigious venues, most notably the Royal Opera House. She transitioned to screen acting and appeared on various television shows, including Kosmos, The Midnight Hour, and Doctor Who: Fractured Timeline. On September 30, she will star in Howard J. Ford’s Escape.
The film stars Marks, Sophie Rankin (Bermondsey Tales and DarkGame), and Sean Cronin (Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation and The Mummy Returns). The movie focuses on ten trafficked women who, after being abducted from a remote island resort, find themselves in the clutches of a ruthless criminal gang. Desperate to survive in the harsh desert, two women devise a bold escape plan, igniting their fight for freedom.
“Working on Escape, more specifically with Howard J Ford, was a breath of fresh air – he is a wonderful director to work with, every day, every scene, every moment carries meaning and passion. Collaborating with him on this film reinvigorated me as an artist and performer,” said Marks.
“With Howard’s trust, I could explore my character freely and easily. I truly believe this helped me be present in each moment, both on and off camera. The cast and crew were phenomenally hard-working and a pleasure to unwind with after days in the sand. The film captures shots of the desert that would make Sergio Leone fans happy and those who love full-blown action are in for a treat.”
