As America’s Got Talent (AGT) continues to find contestants for their 10th anniversary season, fans are scratching their heads and wondering who will join America’s judge, Howard Stern, on the panel!
If Howie, Heidi and Mel B’s contracts were not renewed, Jake’s Take has nine strong candidates that could fill those vacant seats next to the King of All Media!
Sharon Osbourne:
For six seasons, Mrs. O ruled the panel as the show’s Queen of Hearts! Beloved by contestants and audiences alike, Sharon was always the biggest cheerleader for the acts if Piers or Howard gave them bad feedback. While she swore up-and-down that she would never work for NBC again after her son, Jack, was rejected for the now defunct TV series: Stars & Stripes, Mrs. O surprised fans when she posed for a photo with longtime host Nick Cannon on social media earlier this month! Countless fans commented on Facebook that they wanted to see Sharon back on the panel! Does this photo mean that The Talk host has changed her tune?
Piers Morgan:
Every show needs a villain! The Voice has Xtina (and sometimes Adam), SYTYCD has Nigel and both Harry and Jennifer alternate as the antagonist on Idol. For AGT’s first six seasons, Piers Morgan was the judge almost every act was afraid of…due to constant buzzing! But, unlike his “ignoramus” counterpart, the former CNN anchor’s honest feedback made great television and the right competitors made it to the finales of their seasons! In addition, he also helped discover Terry Fator, Jackie Evancho, Fighting Gravity and iLuminate!
Mary Murphy:
SYTYCD fans were horrified to learn that Mary Murphy’s contract was not renewed for this upcoming season! SYTYCD’s loss might be AGT’s gain as the Hot Tamale Train could easily transfer over to Radio City Music Hall. Also, the Queen of Scream could also encourage more dance acts to audition! However, there are two unanswered questions: one…can she be unbiased and not buzz for the singing or variety acts? Two, can Howard and Mary Murphy (the two polar opposites on Reality TV) exist on the same panel?
Jon Bon Jovi:
Howard Stern has repeatedly stated on his radio show that he helped launch Bon Jovi’s career! Maybe, Jon could return the favor? The show has been too lenient on average musicians such as Jimmy Rose and Miguel Dakota, as they made it into the finals over high polished acts like Branden James and Emil & Dariel. If the show asks Jon to join the panel and if he says: “Yes!” he could undo this injustice and get more high quality music-based acts in the finale.
Rosie O’Donnell:
The View co-host and friend of Howard made a cameo appearance last season when she participated in winner Mat Franco’s final magic trick. In all honesty, Rosie tells it like it is and unlike Heidi…she would be more accepting to all comedic and show stopping acts that audition for the show! Plus, if Howard can host his radio show and be a judge…. she could easily do the show and The View at the exact same time. In addition, it would also be interesting to see her interact with a certain co-host from The Talk!
Twitch:
Stephan “Twitch” Boss is probably one of the most recognizable alums from So You Think You Can Dance! If Simon and the NBC brass want to make Nasty Nigel tremble in his boots, having Twitch on the panel might be the trick! For years, AGT has lacked a judge with dance credibility! Having Twitch on the panel would definitely bring more 12-49-year-olds to the show and it would increase AGT’s audience!
Jada Pinkett Smith:
While her Gotham alter ego might meet her maker next week, there is still time for producers to talk to Jada Pinkett Smith about joining the panel! In addition to appearing in countless franchises such as Madagascar and The Matrix, she also brings experience in the recording industry as well. Jada would also be a force on the panel and might back up acts if Howard criticizes them.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy:
Want to turn up the heat in ratings? The former Dancing with the Stars champion would bring a lot of fans to the show! Plus, it might be interesting to see two alpha male media personalities sitting on the same panel.
Gloria Estefan:
The seven-time Grammy winner will be frequently making appearances in the Big Apple as Get On Your Feet: the Musical, an autobiographical musical about her and husband, Emilio Estefan, will make its debut on October 5! Ms. Estefan would be a great fit for the panel because of her passion for performers. I strongly believe that she would be a great fit to the panel!
