The Masked Singer: Season 10 is hitting the gridiron!
FOX’s undercover celebrity competition celebrates the National Football League (NFL)! Tonight, Cow, Diver, Gazelle, and S’more returned to the stage to impress the audience. Did any performers impress the show’s panel (Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke, and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg)? Meanwhile, a Wild Card contender entered the competition! Did this mysterious performer knock out an established performer, forcing them to reveal their secret identity and joined both Demi Lovato and Anthony Anderson in the Season 10 Elimination Club? Read on to find out!
Milkshake (Le’Veon Bell – Season Eight) started the evening with a rousing cover of Black Eyed Peas’s “I Gotta Feeling,” and I hated the autotune. The Cow kicked off the evening, revealing that he did not watch the big game with his dad and was raised in an all-female household. He had three kids, and there was a boxing glove in the performance. He sang Bruno Mars’ “Treasure,” I thought it was Ne-Yo. Jenny called the performance “effortless,” while Robin loved the song choice. Le’Veon brought out a massive clue – tap shoes. The Cow stated that he was known for his killer moves. Robin thought it was Ne-Yo, while Jenny thought it was Nelly. Nicole ended the guessing round with Jason Derulo.
The Diver made his return to The Masked Singer stage. He received a lot of love from the panel. Diver was a model, actor, and singer who declared this a healing experience. Tonight, Diver sang OneRepublic’s “I Ain’t Worried,” and I liked the vocals. Nicole claimed he was “talented” and loved his dance moves. A purple and white-paint-faced afro superfan revealed that he owns a club. Nicole stated that he was Pete Davidson, and Ken thought it was Tom Sandoval. Robin guessed that it was DJ Pauly D.
Group A favorite Gazelle returned to the stage. Her pre-performance package featured a sign that said: “threat level: 3” and a surfboard. She sounded terrific when she sang Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away.” I am guessing that Auliʻi Cravalho is behind the mask. Jenny praised her fantastic performance, while NFL legend Antonio Gates assisted in the clue – a football that said: “villain.” Jenny thought it was Leighton Messer, while Dr. Ken emotionally guessed his friend Constance Wu. Nicole and I might have been on the same wavelength as she also assumed Auli’i Cravalho.
S’more Mask melted Nicole’s heart during Group A premiere week. Tonight, S’more performed Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger,” which was excellent! He sounds like Backstreet Boys founding member Kevin Richardson! Nicole stated that he melted the stage tonight, and NFL legend Desean Jackson surprised Nick with a “Gatorade” clue – orange balls. Nicole got a “boyband” vibe and suggested JC Chasez; meanwhile, Robin doubled down with his guess of Backstreet Boys member Kevin Richardson. Finally, Ken suggested Shang-Chi himself- Simu Liu!
The season’s first Wild Card Mask entered The Masked Singer stage. It was Pickle Mask! Nick and Jenny declared Pickle – their favorite costume ever. His pre-performance package featured a Joker card, spray paint, and a podcast set-up. He sang “Pinball Wizard,” and I prayed to G-D that this was not Joe Rogan. The NFL players revealed an “on-air” sign and told Ken to “pay attention.” Robin thought it was Dax Shepherd, while Jenny thought Conan O’Brien and Ken guessed Howard Stern.
The Diver was eliminated after the Masked Singer panel and studio audience voted! Robin guessed DJ Pauly D, while Nicole joined in and crowned Diver as DJ Pauly D. Ken doubled down his Tom Sandoval guess and Jenny joined him.
KEN, JENNY, AND I WERE RIGHT….DIVER WAS TOM SANDOVAL!!!
